Manig Loeser moved all in for 58,000 from under the gun and Andreas Goeller called in the big blind.

Loeser had Goeller dominated and was a favorite to earn the double up as the board ran out 4♠8♦K♣J♦2♣, keeping his nine-kicker in the lead and earning him a double up.

At the same time at another table, Safwane Bahri got in his last 120,000 from the cutoff and Grzegorz Flak put him at risk in the small blind.

Flak had woken up with kings and was poised for the knockout as the flop came A♦6♣2♣. The turn was the Q♠, while Flak improved to a set on the K♦ river to send Bahri to the rail.

With around 80,000 already in the pot, Grzegorz Flak and Alessandro Pichierri were both staring at a board of 7♣9♣8♥4♦. Flak was first to act from the cutoff and opted to check. Pichierri made a bet of 45,000, and Flak stuck around with a call.

A 8♠ appeared on the river, causing both players to check. Flak turned over A♥7♦ for a pair of sevens, and was second best to Pichierri's A♠9♠ for a pair of nines.

Di Nicola Wins the Battle of Small Pairs Against Ufano

Ermanno Di Nicola raised to 16,000 in the cutoff before Jorge Ufano moved all in for 122,000 on the button. Di Nicola used a time bank and took a minute until eventually calling to put Ufano at risk.

Ufano let out a loud sigh when he found out his pair was crushed by Di Nicola's fives. The 10♠10♦5♠ flop improved Di Nicola to a full house, and Ufano was sent to the rail after the A♥ and K♥ completed the board.

Heads-up to a flop of 2♣3♣9♦ where Jan Bednar started with a check from the big blind. Giovanni Giudice bet 11,000 out of the hijack and was met with a check-raise to 40,000 from Bednar. Giudice continued in the form of a call.

A 5♣ rolled off on the turn, prompting Bednar to bet 35,000. Giudice jammed for 109,000, which Bednar snap-called.

Giudice's overpair was ahead, but Bednar had a lot of outs heading to the river. The dealer burned a card then produced the 10♣ to complete the board, giving Bednar the best hand with a flush and sending Giudice to the cashier's desk.

"I'm starting to know what it's like to win these flips. It's a great feeling," Palevic, who is coming off a final table appearance in the Colossus yesterday, said after the hand.
