Vaaraniemi Picks Up Big Slick at the Perfect Time

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Elias Vaaraniemi
Elias Vaaraniemi

Elias Vaaraniemi min-raised to 20,000 under the gun before Zoltan Vrancsik three-bet the small blind to 64,000. Vaaraniemi four-bet ripped it for 192,000 and Vrancsik called with the covering stack.

Elias Vaaraniemi: AK All in
Zoltan Vrancsik: AJ

Vaaraniemi was ahead with big slick and was looking for a safe board to double up to over 400,000. The 427 flop kept Vaaraniemi's ace-king high in the lead. The rest of the board came 49, and Vrancsik had to send around half of his stack over to Vaaraniemi.

Reichenstein Finds a River Miracle

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Uri Reichenstein
Uri Reichenstein

Georgios Tsouloftas raised to 20,000 in the hijack before Uri Reichenstein moved all in for 201,000 in the cutoff. Iago Savino then reshoved on the button, and Tsouloftas got out of the way.

Uri Reichenstein: 55 All in
Iago Savino: AK

Reichenstein quickly fell behind as the K27 flop gave Savino top pair. The 8 turn left him with just two outs to survive going to the river, and he found one of them with the 5 to make a set and double up.

Alt Runs Into the Nuts, Salerno Climbs Above a Million

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Dinesh Alt
Dinesh Alt

More than 100,000 was already in the pot as Elia Salerno and Dinesh Alt went to the turn on a board of A847. Alt then bet 55,000 from the cutoff before Salerno moved all in from the big blind.

Alt took a minute before calling for his last 230,000, turning over AJ. Salerno, though, had the nut straight with 65, and Alt was already drawing dead by the 4 river and was sent to the rail.

Seelentag Finds a Set to Double Off Pflock

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Felix Seelentag had moved all in from the button and found no callers, taking down the blinds and ante.

He tried again the next hand, this time making it 148,000 from the cutoff. Pascal Pflock snap-called in the big blind this time.

Felix Seelentag: 33 All in
Pascal Pflock: AQ

Seelentag didn't have to sweat out the race situation for long, as the 632 flop gave him a set. Pflock was drawing dead after the K turn, and the Q river arrived too late for Pflock to avoid handing over a big chunk of his stack.

Ian Simpson

Ran Shahar made it 20,000 under the gun and Ian Simpson jammed the button for 53,000. When the action folded back to Shahar, he called and the players went to a showdown.

Ian Simpson: K10 All in
Ran Shahar: A6

Shahar held a slight lead, but Simpson had two live cards. A flop of 6AJ gave Shahar two pair, while Simpson picked up a straight draw. Simpson was unable to improve on the 8 turn or 2 river, and all of his chips headed over to Shahar.

Frederic Delval raised to 17,000 under the gun and Traian Stanciu three-bet to 48,000 in the hijack. Delval called and they saw a flop of KQ5.

Stanciu then continued for 16,000 and Delval called. Delval checked to Stanciu on the 6 turn, and Stanciu checked back this time.

The 9 river was also checked down, and Delval showed AQ for a pair of queens to win the pot.
