Elias Vaaraniemi min-raised to 20,000 under the gun before Zoltan Vrancsik three-bet the small blind to 64,000. Vaaraniemi four-bet ripped it for 192,000 and Vrancsik called with the covering stack.

Vaaraniemi was ahead with big slick and was looking for a safe board to double up to over 400,000. The 4♥2♠7♥ flop kept Vaaraniemi's ace-king high in the lead. The rest of the board came 4♠9♠, and Vrancsik had to send around half of his stack over to Vaaraniemi.

Georgios Tsouloftas raised to 20,000 in the hijack before Uri Reichenstein moved all in for 201,000 in the cutoff. Iago Savino then reshoved on the button, and Tsouloftas got out of the way.

Kafka Falls to Pichierri's Ladies

Matthias Kafka raised to around 20,000 under the gun before Alessandro Pichierri three-bet the small blind to 65,000. Once the big blind folded, Kafka instantly jammed for 285,000. Pichierri looked back at his cards and then made the call with just a few big blinds more than Kafka.

Pichierri had the bigger pair and Kafka looked poised to exit the tournament.

More than 100,000 was already in the pot as Elia Salerno and Dinesh Alt went to the turn on a board of A♥8♠4♠7♦. Alt then bet 55,000 from the cutoff before Salerno moved all in from the big blind.

Alt took a minute before calling for his last 230,000, turning over A♠J♥. Salerno, though, had the nut straight with 6♦5♦, and Alt was already drawing dead by the 4♣ river and was sent to the rail.
