Goeller Shows Salerno the Bluff; Stanciu Survives on the River

Andreas Goeller limped in from the small blind, Elia Salerno raised to 35,000 in the big blind, and Goeller called.

The flop came J56 and Salerno bet 17,000. Goeller called and the 9 fell on the turn.

Salerno then bet 52,000 and Goeller again called. The river was the 9 and Goeller led out for 120,000. Salerno instantly folded, and Goeller showed 62 as he took the pot.

At another table, Traian Stanciu was all in for 120,000 from the cutoff and up against Grzegorz Flak in the big blind.

Flak came from behind to take the lead on the KJ4 flop with a pair of kings, while the turn was the 2. The 10 river improved Stanciu to a straight, and he doubled up.

Locquet stayed ahead on the 3210 flop, but the Q turn put Seelentag in the lead with a pair of queens. The 8 sealed Locquet's elimination from the tournament, as Seelentag moved up to over 600,000.

Ermanno Di Nicola was also seen leaving the tournament area as he had been eliminated.

Locquet Beginning His Chip-and-a-Chair Story

Romain Locquet moved all in for less than the big blind from under the gun and Elia Salerno reraised on the button to chase away the rest of the field.

The next hand, Locquet was in the big blind and called for 35,000 when small blind Symeon Alexandridis shoved.

The J85 flop kept Locquet in the lead, while the 7 turn gave him a set. Alexandridis was looking to complete a straight draw to earn the knockout, but he missed the 9 river and Locquet doubled up yet again.

Around 120,000 was in the pot as Romain Locquet and Andreas Goeller went to the turn on a board of J7K8. Locquet then bet 65,000 from the button, Goeller moved all in for 220,000 in the small blind, and Locquet quickly called.

Locquet showed KJ for two pair, while Goeller had Q9 for straight and flush draws. The 10 fell on the river to give Goeller a straight flush as he slammed the table in celebration.

Grzegorz Flak made it 20,000 from the cutoff and Stanislav Koleno was the only caller out of the big blind.

Koleno check-called a bet of 15,000 from Flak on the AK10 flop.

The turn came the Q and Koleno check-called another bet from Flak, this time for 40,000.

A 8 completed the board and Koleno checked for the last time. Flak fired a third barrel of 80,000, and after a few moments, Koleno announced raise. Flak snap-folded and the pot headed over to Koleno.

Seelentag Sets a Trap

Elia Salerno raised to 20,000 in the hijack and Felix Seelentag called in the cutoff. Naum Barulia then moved all in for 77,000 on the button and Salerno folded, but Seelentag snap-called.

Seelentag was lying in wait with his queens, and Barulia didn't improve behind a pair of tens on the 106287 board as he was sent to the rail.

"Nice trap," Salerno told Seelentag.

"I was waiting for you," Seelentag replied.

The dealer spread out a flop of 5Q8, and Seelentag knuckled the action over to Locquet, who bet 18,000. Seelentag flicked in the call.

A 9 on the turn prompted Seelentag to lead out for 38,000. Locquet gave it some thought and then settled on a fold, forfeiting the pot to Seelentag.

Heads-up on a flop of 10108, Alessandro Pichierri bet 15,000 from the button and Jan Bednar raised to 55,000 in the big blind. Pichierri called and the A fell on the turn.

Bednar checked to Pichierri who bet 40,000, and Bednar called. The river was the K and Pichierri moved all in. Bednar tanked for a few minutes until calling for his last 195,000. Pichierri showed 109 for trips, and Bednar mucked A8 as he headed to the rail.

At another table, Pascal Pflock had shoved for his last 80,000 from the button and Elia Salerno called in the small blind.
