Heads-up on a flop of J♣2♥9♠, Andreas Goeller bet 21,000 from the button and Symeon Alexandridis raised to 60,000 in the hijack. Goeller then reraised to 120,000, and Alexandridis called.
Both players checked the Q♣ turn. Alexandridis then led out for 160,000 on the 6♦ river, and Goeller quickly folded.
Life Outside Poker is a podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.
In the 34th episode, Connor talks with WSOP free-to-play app ambassador Sam Abernathy about growing up in Georgia, studying design, the similarities between gymnastics and poker, finishing third in the 2016 Aussie Millions Main Event, and a notorious slow roll she suffered in that event.
Abernathy also talks about first getting into poker through the WSOP Play app before becoming an ambassador years later, motherhood and being married to fellow poker player Lautaro Guerra, who finished 15th in this year's WSOP Main Event for $450,000.
In the previous hand Tobias Peters doubled up through Stanislav Koleno, when he got it all-in preflop with Q♦10♦ versus Koleno's A♥J♠ and flopped a flush.
On the next hand, Peters made it 24,000 under the gun and Koleno three-bet the button to 75,000. Peters called.
After Peters checked the K♥9♥9♠ flop, Koleno bet 50,000, which Peters called.
A Q♥ turn checked through fro the 3♥ to appear on the river. Peters checked again and Koleno jammed for Peters' stack of 215,000.
Peters tanked for quite some time and used up a few of his time banks. Ultimately, he settled on a fold and the pot went over to Koleno.
Georgios Tsouloftas raised to 25,000 under the gun before Iago Savino three-bet to 55,000 in the cutoff. Tsouloftas then four-bet to 165,000.
Savino used a time bank before moving all in for 627,000, and Tsouloftas spent a minute in the tank until folding. Savino slammed down J♠9♠ as he took the pot.
The next hand, Kevin Fluegel moved all in for 132,000 in the small blind and Tsouloftas put him at risk in the big blind.
Kevin Fluegel: Q♠Q♦
Georgios Tsouloftas: K♦5♣
Fluegel was ahead with his queens, and the 4♥9♠8♣10♦7♥ board offered no help to Tsouloftas as he took another hit.
Georgios Tsouloftas raised to 25,000 on the button and Uri Reichenstein and Iago Savino came along from the blinds.
Tsouloftas bet 28,000 on the 6♣5♥5♠ flop and only Reichenstein called. Both players then checked the 2♦ turn.
Tsouloftas bet another 60,000 on the 8♥ river, and Reichenstein called. Tsouloftas showed Q♥8♠ for a rivered two pair, and Reichenstein mucked.
Meanwhile, Traian Stanciu had raised to around 100,000 in the small blind, leaving only a few chips behind, and Stanislav Koleno called in the big blind. Stanciu then got his last chips in on the 3♣J♣4♣ flop and Koleno called.
Traian Stanciu: A♠4♥
Stanislav Koleno: 10♥10♠
Koleno was ahead with his tens, and the 5♦ turn and Q♦ river failed to improve Stanciu as he headed to the rail.
"You were too enthusiastic preflop," Tobias Peters said to Koleno after the hand.
From the cutoff, Frederic Delval made it 25,000, and Elia Salerno three-bet the small blind to 80,000. Delval called to see a flop.
Salerno placed a bet of 80,000 on the 6♣A♣J♥ flop, causing Delval to flip over Q♣Q♠ as he folded. Salerno slid his cards face down back to the dealer and said, "Good fold."
Stanislav Koleno came in with a raise to 30,000 from the hijack and only Grzegorz Flak called from the small blind.
Once Flak checked the 10♠Q♦7♥ flop, Koleno fired out a continuation-bet of 40,000. Flak gathered together a check-raise to 140,000, which Koleno called.
A K♣ on the turn caused Flak to check. Koleno burned through a time bank before sliding out a bet of 170,000. Flak didn't give it much thought before folding and relinquishing the pot to Koleno.
