The €8,400 GGMillion$ High Roller got underway at 3 p.m. local time at King’s Casino in Hilton Prague, one hour later than scheduled, and played through ten levels of action. A total of 205 entries were recorded on Day 1, with 74 players bagging chips for Day 2. Late registration remains open until the end of Level 12, so the field is expected to grow further.

Thailand’s Punnat Punsri leads the way with 829,000, closely followed by Andre Marques with 806,500. Alexandre Reard also finished strong with 710,000, while Hugo Machado and Alf Martinsson round out the top five stacks.

Day 1 Action

Day 1 featured plenty of movement across the field, with several known names building stacks and others falling along the way. Viktor Blom was involved in multiple pots and added chips throughout the day, while Boris Kolev also chipped up in a few spots. Hugo Machado stood out with one of the biggest hands of the day after flopping quads in a multiway pot.

There were also some key all-in situations, including Quan Zhou finding a flush on the river to double, while Jovan Kenjic stayed alive thanks to a late river card. On the other side, players like Eugene Katchalov and Anthony Zinno saw their runs come to an end before the close of play.

One of the more entertaining moments came when Shaun Deeb called off with a flush and straight draw against Andy Tsai, only to miss the river and see Tsai double up, leading to some light table banter.

Play will resume tomorrow at 1 p.m. with blinds at 2,500/5,000 and a 5,000 big blind ante. With late registration still open, Day 2 promises more action as the field continues to take shape.
