It only took until the third level of Day 1c for the WSOP Europe Main Event to surpass its €10 million guarantee, according to the tournament board in the room.

That’s an impressive milestone for the WSOP Europe brand. Despite the buy-in being halved to €5,300, organizers have had little trouble reaching the ambitious figure.

The event is now on track to set record figures for both field size and prize pool at this price point in Prague, with GGPoker’s stewardship of the WSOP continuing to deliver massive turnouts.

Day 1c is set to move into Level 4 shortly and will play through to the end of Level 10. Players who fail to bag tonight still have another chance, as late registration remains open for the first two levels of Day 2.

Zamani Makes Wilson Think...Briefly

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Martin Zamani

Ivo Donev opened to 800 from under the gun before Martin Zamani three-bet to 2,000 from the hijack. Scott Wilson cold-called from the big blind, with Donev also calling.

"I don't know how I feel about the three-bet," said Zamani, just before the 854 flop was dealt.

Wilson, after hearing this, led out for 2,500. Donev folded, putting the action on Zamani. He made it 9,000 and Wilson almost beat him into the pot.

"Didn't even think about, it's a long way to come from Canada," laughed Zamani, which Wilson also enjoyed.

The 9 turn came in, and Wilson quickly checked. Zamani fired out 15,000.

"Now I'm thinking about it," said Wilson, just before folding.

Zamani showed 88 for a set of eights, and Wilson said out loud that he glad he took some time to think this time around.

Flush for Li

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

While the Colossus winner Gilles Silbernagel was taking his seat, Joao Lamenha De Araujo opened to 1,000 from under the gun and was called by the cutoff before Yang Li in the small blind three-bet to 4,500. Lamenha De Araujo four-bet to 13,000 and made everybody fold.

In the next hand, Mathieu Choffardet in the cutoff raised to 1,200 and was called by both Li on the button and Lamenha De Araujo in the big blind.

Choffardet continued for 1,900 on a flop of 1065 and was called by Li, then checked the K turn. Li bet 2,500 and Choffardet called.

The J river was checked by both players. "Ten," Choffardet said while revealing the 10. Li showed 102 for a flush and scooped the pot.
