Elimination in First Hand of the Day

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

In the first hand of the day, Maria Konnikova raised to 300 only to have Tony Wasaya three-bet to 1,300. Arthur Morris called, Konnikova folded, and it was heads-up action to a {2-}{4-}{6-} rainbow flop.

Wasaya continued for 7,000, Morris called, and the {9-Clubs} appeared on the turn, which put out a potential flush draw.

Wasaya bet 13,000 and then snap-called when Morris raised all in.

Tony Wasaya: {a-}{a-}
Arthur Morris: {2-}{2-}

Morris had flopped a set and cracked aces after the river bricked. Just like that, the first player fell in the 2021 Wynn Millions.

There was heads-up action between Daniel Negreanu from the cutoff and Walter Enlow on the button with a completed board of {q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{q-Clubs} showing.

A series of raises saw Negreanu move all in and Enlow called off his stack holding slightly less then Negreanu.

Negreanu quickly rolled over the nuts {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and Enlow tossed {a-Clubs}{10-Spades} into the muck.

Josephy Scoops Early Pot

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

Cliff Josephy raised to 400 from under the gun, Steven Hensley called from the hijack and Peter Neff defended his big blind bringing about the {4-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop.

Action was checked to Josephy who continued for 400 and Hensley raised to 1,100. Neff folded while Josephy called and the {7-Spades} fell on the turn.

Josephy check-called the 1,500 bet from Hensley and the {a-Diamonds} river was checked by both players. Hensley rolled over {q-Spades}{j-Clubs} for two-pair but Josephy held a better two-pair {a-Spades}{j-Spades} to win the pot.

McDermott Calls Correctly

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

There was heads-up action between Sadat Reza on the button and Timothy McDermott from the small blind. McDermott was facing a 8,200 bet from Reza with a {3-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts} completed board showing.

With 8,200 already in the pot, McDermott called and the two players tabled their hands. McDermott rolled over {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} which was good enough to win the pot as Reza tossed {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} into the muck.
