Thomas Boivin Eliminated in 25th Place ($75,522)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Thomas Boivin
Thomas Boivin

Thomas Boivin, a former MSPT Venetian champ, raised to 80,000 from early position only to have Joseph Zona three-bet all in for 600,000 out of the big blind. Boivin pondered for a bit before spiking in a call from his near-equal stack.

Joseph Zona: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Thomas Boivin: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}

It was a flip and Zona stayed in the lead on the {4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop, which also gave him a flush draw. The {10-Hearts} turn gave Zona a set but also Boivin a straight draw. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {k-Diamonds}, which gave Zona the double.

Boivin was left with 30,000 but went bust the very next hand.... which wasn't such a great hand for Zona.

Sylvia Pays Off Flush

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The board was showing {j-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. Clayton Maguire bet 375,000 from the button which sent Jesse Sylvia deep into the tank.

After over three minutes Sylvia finally called. But he would see the bad news as Maguire revealed the {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the nut flush while Sylvia mucked in frustration as his stack was left gasping for air.

Cliff Josephy Eliminated in 27th Place ($74,522)

Cliff Josephy

Philip Shing raised to 80,000 from early position and Hyun Kim called. Salim Admon came along from the cutoff before Cliff Jospehy three-bet jammed for 355,000 from the button. Both blinds folded, Shing called, and both Kim and Admon got out of the way.

Cliff Josephy: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Philip Shing: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} flop gave Josephy top pair but it also gave Shing a flush draw. The {7-Hearts} turn was of no consequence but the {2-Diamonds} river was as Shing made his flush to eliminate Josephy.

Funaro's Elimination Brings About Three-Table Redraw

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Frank Funaro
Frank Funaro

Frank Funaro raised to 280,000 from early position and left himself just 160,000 behind. Action folded to Dylan Smith in the big blind and he moved all in, which prompted Funaro to call off.

Frank Funaro: {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Dylan Smith: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop didn't do Funaro many favors, but the {j-Clubs} turn kept him drawing live. Unfortunately for the Day 2c chip leader the {7-Diamonds} river was a brick and his run came to an end in 28th place for $65,485.

The remaining 27 players will now redraw down to the final three tables. Stay tuned for the new seat draw.
