Kuether Doubles Through Rocco

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Several preflop raises resulted in Joe Kuether getting his stack of 2.09 million all in against Michael Rocco.

Joe Kuether: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Michael Rocco: {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

It was a flip and Kuether took a commanding lead when the {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop paired his ace. Neither the {j-Diamonds} turn nor {7-Diamonds} river changed a thing and Kuether doubled through Rocco.

Down But Not Out

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Tomas Soderstrom
Tomas Soderstrom

Galen Hall moved all in from early position and when action folded around to Tomas Soderstrom in the small blind he asked for a count. Once the dealer confirmed 980,000 Soderstrom went deep into the tank, so deep in fact that play was halted on the other table and a clock was called. Once the floor came over Soderstrom made the call and Ben Farrell folded his big blind.

Galen Hall: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Tomas Soderstrom: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{j-Spades}, which gave Hall the winning full house and left Soderstrom with only 45,000 behind. However, he would double up three straight hands to stay alive in the tournament.

Slow Going Nearing Dinner Break

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Players have been playing a conservative game here on the final table bubble, which has a good pay jump. Despite there being two five-handed tables any meaningful action has been scarce. That is sure to change as Level 26 winds down.

Dyer Doubles Through Salter

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Galen Hall raised from the under-the-gun position, Louis Salter called and Michael Dyer three-bet shoved. After both blinds and Hall folded, Salter tank-called and the two players tabled their hands.

Michael Dyer: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Louis Salter: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Dyer had the dominating ace, which held on the {8-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{q-Spades}{4-Clubs} runout.

Ankush Mandavia Eliminated in 11th Place ($45,987)

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Ankush Mandavia
Ankush Mandavia

Ankush Mandavia opened for 130,000 from the button and Michael Rocco three-bet to 430,000 from the small blind. Mandavia responded by four-bet jamming for approximately 1.1 million total and Rocco quickly called.

Ankush Mandavia: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Michael Rocco: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

It was a flip but Mandavia needed to improve to stay alive. The {2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop didn't do it for him and in fact, gave Rocco an up-and-down straight draw.

Mandavia got lucky to hit the {k-Diamonds} on the turn to take the lead, but it would be short-lived as the {6-Hearts} followed it on the river to give Rocco the straight.
