Ace from Space Saves Lenaghan

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Leonardo Song-Carrillo opened for 25,000 from early position and Maria Konnikova called from the cutoff. Ryan Lenaghan then three-bet all in for 255,000 from the button, both blinds folded, and Song-Carrillo jammed over the top. Konnikova got out of the way and it was off to the races.

Leonardo Song-Carrillo: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Ryan Lenaghan: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The {3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop kept Song-Carrillo firmly in the lead as did the {j-Diamonds} turn. Lenaghan needed some help on the river and he got it when the {a-Hearts} spiked to give him a winning two pair.

Just Da Nutz

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Ben Farrell
Ben Farrell

On a board reading {3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and about 400,000 already in the middle Ben Farrell had a bet of 175,000 sitting in front of him.

The other player in the hand tanked for about a minute before he tossed in calling chips. Farrell tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and scooped the pot, which added more chips to his already-sizable chip stack.

NadyaKGB Gets Lucky to Double Through Farrell

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Action folded to Ben Farrell and he raised to 27,000 from the small blind. Nadya Magnus responded by three-betting all in for 175,000 out of the big and Farrell snap-called.

Ben Farrell: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Nadya Magnus: {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

Farrell had the superior ace but Magnus hit the {9-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop hard to make trips. The {2-Clubs} turn and {j-Diamonds} river were safe for Magnus and she shipped the double.

Marko Pantelic: {k-}{6-}
Matt Yorra: {a-}{k-}

Yorra was way out in front and stayed there after a clean runout. That sent Pantelic to the rail in 55th place for $11,619.

Kamphues Doubles Through Fields

Lars Kamphues
Lars Kamphues

After Eric Fields raised to 25,000 from under-the-gun and got called by Ryan Tosoc, Lars Kamphues three-bet shoved his last remaining 232,000. Both blinds folded and Field five-bet shoved to isolate, which got a fold from Ryan Tosoc.

Lars Kamphues: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Eric Fields: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Kamphues needed his hand to hold, which it did on the {6-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} runout.

Kou Vang
Kou Vang

Minnesota's Kou Vang, a member of the Mid-States Poker Tour's Hall of Fame, was seen at the payout desk cashing out in 57th place.

He related his bust-out hand as shoving with pocket nines only to run into the queens of Tomas Soderstrom.

Vang said he managed to flop a set but a lady on the river gave Soderstrom a big set and the elimination.
