Reilly Takes Rest From Simao

Level 14 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Just before the blinds went up, Joao Simao shoved in his remaining 19,000 chips from the cutoff and Tim Reilly called in the big blind.

Joao Simao: {k-Spades}{8-Spades}
Tim Reilly: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The flop came {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts}. The {9-Spades} turn gave Simao additional outs with a flush draw, but the {q-Diamonds} completed the board to give Reilly the pot.

Yifrach Picks Up Pot Without a Fight

Level 14 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

With about 50,000 in the pot and a board of {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{4-Hearts}, five players were headed to the turn.

The {4-Clubs} came on the turn and Fabian Gumz checked in the small blind before Gal Yifrach bet 20,000 in the big blind. That was enough to get Boris Kolev and two other opponents to fold. Gumz thought about it briefly before folding as well to give Yifrach the pot.

On December 13, one of the most highly-anticipated tournaments of the 2021 Wynn Winter Classic took place in the $5,200 Progressive PKO Bounty, a format usually reserved for online play but brought to the live realm by Ryan Beauregard and his team.

The tournament featured a $250,000 guarantee and crushed it by drawing 154 entries and creating a $452,760 prize pool, which was split between the regular and bounty pools.

The top 17 players finished in the money, and some of those to cash but fall short of the final table were Romain Lewis (15th - $8,014), Shannon Shorr (13th - $9,055), and final table bubble boy Chance Kornuth (10th - $10,323), just to name a few.

The final table was an international affair, and the tournament concluded when Bulgaria's Boris Kolev defeated Germany's Daniel Smiljkovic in heads-up play to win a $131,548 top prize plus $88,000 in bounties.

Before the break and with about 90,000 in the pot and a {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} board showing, Ema Zajmovic check-called a 40,000 bet in the big blind against Kitty Kuo in early position.

The {10-Hearts} completed the board and after Zajmovic checked, Kuo jammed for her remaining 96,000. Zajmovic thought about it before calling.

Kuo turned over {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for a boat which beat the smaller boat of Zajmovic who could only show {a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}.
