The 2022 Wynn Millions is a series comprised of 16 events with more than $15 million in guaranteed prize money. There's a tournament for just about any type of poker player — high stakes, mid-stakes, no-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha, bounty events, etc. And there are two seniors events for players aged 50 and above — $400 and $1,100.

On March 1, the $400 Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) $25K GTD tournament attracted 191 entrants and more than doubled the guarantee by generating a $65,895 prize pool. That was reserved for the top 20 finishers including Badr Imejjane (18th - $915), Glen Questrod (16th - $1,011), Anthony Abram (14th - $1,132), Michael Trivett (11th - $1,458), Ari Engel (8th - $1,957), and Daniel Anton (3rd - $7,057).

The tournament came to an end when Canada’s Rishi Makkar bested Brazil’s Daniel Zuazo in heads-up play to claim the trophy and $18,229 first-place prize.

Nick Schulman
Nick Schulman

Nick Schulman was on the button in a heads-up pot against Matas Cimbolas in early position on a board of {8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} with around 100,000 already in the middle.

Cimbolas checked on the turn and Schulman took a minute before putting out a big bet of 70,000. Cimbolas called.

Cimbolas checked again on the {3-Clubs} river and Schulman checked back, only to quickly muck when Cimbolas turned over {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for an overpair.

The hand left Schulman with around 100,000 after the poker commentator entered the day second in chips with a stack of 400,000.

Jesse Sylvia

Jesse Sylvia opened to 7,000 in early position and the small blind responded with a three-bet. The big blind then cold four-bet all-in and Sylvia re-shoved behind him, which got a fold from the small blind.

Jesse Sylvia: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

Sylvia's aces maintained the lead as the board ran out {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Spades} to send his opponent to the rail.

Daniels Takes a Big Chunk of Berkey's Stack

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Matt Berkey
Matt Berkey

Action was caught on the river with the board showing {10-Spades}{k-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{a-Hearts} and the pot already bloated. Jake Daniels made a sizable wager of 143,000 with Matt Berkey the only other player in the pot.

Berkey tanked for a minute before opting to call, and he found out some bad news. Daniels showed {7-Spades}{6-Spades} for a flopped flush, and then the Solve for Why founder mucked his cards.
