Fragoso Also Scores a Double-Up

Level 29 : 75,000/125,000, 125,000 ante

Manuel Machado opened to 250,000 in the hijack and was called by Elliott Kampen on the button. Francisco Fragoso pushed all in for 1,700,000 in the big blind which only Machado called.

Francisco Fragoso: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}
Manuel Machado: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, giving both players a pair but Fragoso's was the bigger of the two. The {2-Hearts} and {8-Clubs} runout changed nothing and Fragoso doubled up.

Kovachev Finds a Double Through Brooks

Level 29 : 75,000/125,000, 125,000 ante
Viktor Kovachev
Viktor Kovachev

Viktor Kovachev opened to 275,000 from middle position and was greeted by a three-bet from Randall Brooks to 700,000. After thinking for a bit, Kovachev moved all in for 1,450,000 total. Brooks called, having put half of that already in the pot.

Viktor Kovachev: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Randall Brooks: {a-}{j-}

The window card was bad news for Kovachev when the {a-Hearts} showed up, but just behind it was the {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} to give Kovachev the full house and the full double.

Dennis Wilke
Dennis Wilke

Action picked up in the flop in a heads-up pot between Gavin Munroe and Dennis Wilke. The board showed {4-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}.

Munroe bet 400,000 in position and Wilke put in the check-call.

On the {k-Hearts} turn, both players checked.

The {8-Diamonds} fell on the river. Wilke thought for about a minute before leading for 825,000. Munroe immediately called.

Wilke rolled over the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for the flopped set and the winner.

"Whoops, king," Munroe said to his rail.

Meanwhile, Justin Lapka was eliminated from the tournament.

Andrews Binks a One-Outer

Level 29 : 75,000/125,000, 125,000 ante

Viktor Kovachev opened to 250,000 in the cutoff and Cherish Andrews shipped all in for 2,050,000 in the big blind. Kovachev quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Cherish Andrews: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Viktor Kovachev: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Andrews spiked a set of sixes to take the lead. The {k-Hearts} and {4-Hearts} runout was no help to Kovachev who passed over a double up.

"I folded a six," Kevin Calenzo said as he stood up from the table.

Andrews and Basile Forced to Fold

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Gavin Munroe opened to 200,000 in early position and Anthony Basile three-bet to 700,000 on his left. The action folded back to Munroe who called to see a flop of {k-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

Munroe check-called a bet of 400,000 from Basile on the flop and the {6-Hearts} landed on the turn. Both players checked and the {6-Spades} hit the river. Munroe shipped all in and Basile went into the tank before eventually mucking his cards.

At the table next door, Calvin Anderson raised to 200,000 and Cherish Andrews three-bet to 650,000. Anderson replied with a four-bet to 1,150,000 and Andrews called.

The flop fell {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Anderson led out with a bet of 650,000. Andrews mulled it over but decided to send her cards to the muck as well.

Zhanpeng Runs Into Brooks' Bullets

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Ma Zhanpeng
Ma Zhanpeng

Ma Zhanpeng raised to 200,000 from middle position. Action folded to Randall Brooks in the small blind who three-bet to 800,000. Back to Zhanpeng, he moved all in for just under 3,000,000 and Brooks called quickly.

Ma Zhanpeng: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Randall Brooks: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

The flop came out {9-Spades}{a-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Zhanpeng was drawing thin. Brooks had his camera out to record the all in.

"Don't pull your camera out, you'll lose," said tablemate Gavin Munroe.

Right on cue, one of the best cards in the deck hit the turn in the {7-Spades}, giving Munroe straight and flush outs. The {2-Hearts} missed everything, though, and Zhanpeng was eliminated.
