Reijmer Exerts Pressure

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

On a board reading {6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{k-Spades} Daniel Reijmer in the big blind was involved in a pot with the small blind player. The small blind checked and Reijmer bet 40,000 into a pot of roughly 80,000. The small blind went deep into the tank. After several minutes the clock was called and a floor person came over to give the small blind a thirty second countdown. With just under five seconds remaining the small blind reluctantly gave up his hand to send the large pot Reijmer's way.

Lawrence Kiang
Lawrence Kiang

Lawrence Kiang showed up at the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas on June 3, along with 937 others, to compete in a $600 buy-in no-limit hold'em tournament. He left the casino the following day with a $69,000 payday following a heads-up chop arrangement with Helia Mahzoun-Alzakein, who received $65,636.

Kiang, from Orlando, didn't just earn a massive payday. He also took home the coveted shiny Wynn replica trophy. The impressive performance was enough for Kiang to secure the biggest win of his poker career, and he now has $238,000 in live tournament cashes, according to Hendon Mob.

Rossitto Finds a Double

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Michael Rossitto
Michael Rossitto

Michael Rossitto opened to 8,000 from early position and faced a three-bet to 20,000 from a player in middle position one seat over. Action folded back around to Rossitto who paused before moving all in. The middle position player snapped it off with the bigger stack to put Rossitto at risk.

Michael Rossitto: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Middle Position Player: {9-}{9-}

Rossitto was way ahead and in a good spot to double late in the day. The {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop kept him ahead with the {10-Clubs} turn and {7-Diamonds} river completing a clean runout for the Italian.

Toma Chips Up

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Tsugunari Toma
Tsugunari Toma

Tsugunari Toma, Japan's all time money leader, from early position was involved in a three-way all in with the big blind player and a player in middle position. Toma had both of his opponents covered.

Middle Position Player: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Big Blind Player: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Tsugunari Toma: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Toma was behind the middle position player but in a good spot to scoop a healthy sidepot. The {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop gave him a meaningless flush draw with the {4-Clubs} turn and {2-Diamonds} river completing the board to triple up the middle position player while still sending a pile of chips Toma's way courtesy of the big blind player, who was eliminated.

Boivin Risks Almost All

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

An early position player opened and Thomas Boivin three-bet to 20,000 from one seat over. Action folded back to the original raiser who called.

The dealer fanned the {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop and the early position player check-called for 6,000. On the {4-Hearts} turn, the early position player check-called again, this time for 19,000.

The {8-Spades} completed the board, the early position player checked, and Boivin bet 54,000, leaving a single orange T-1,000 chip behind. His opponent thought for a bit, but ultimately sent his cards into the muck to concede to Boivin without a showdown.

Eldridge Hero Calls

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
David Eldridge
David Eldridge

A player opened to 6,000 from under the gun and was called by David Eldridge in the cutoff as well as Chance Kornuth out of the big blind.

Action checked to Eldridge on a flop of {10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and he led out for 8,000. Kornuth folded while the under-the-gun player called to send the two players to the turn.

Both players checked through the {q-Spades} turn to the {2-Hearts} river. The under the gun player tossed 13,000 into the middle and, after some consideration, Eldridge called. Eldridge turned over {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} for just a pair of threes, which was still good enough to take down the pot.

Shorr Gone

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr

A middle position player opened to 7,000, Shannon Shorr moved all in for 19,000 in the hijack, the big blind reshoved, and the original raiser folded.

Shannon Shorr: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Big Blind: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop changed nothing, and although the {3-Hearts} turn brought chop outs, the {9-Spades} completed the board to eliminate Shorr from the tournament.
