Dyer Continues To Dominate

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Day 2ab chip leader Michael Dyer has continued his momentum throughout the first two levels of the day. Dyer opened the action to 6,000 from under the gun and was called by Rania Nasreddine in middle position, the player in the cutoff and the big blind.

The flop fanned out {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and the big blind checked to Dyer who continued for 8,500. Nasreddine quickly folded, as did the player in the cutoff. The big blind took some time, but in the end made the fold as well and Dyer scooped the pot.

Danny Wong

Action was heads up with a big pot and {4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} on the board when Anthony Hu was faced with a 47,500 bet from Danny Wong. It was too much for Hu and he tossed away his hand to give up the pot. Even with the lost pot, Hu has continued to chip up on Day 2ab.

Elsewhere, Andrew Lim raised to 7,000 before Victoria Livschitz made it 26,500. Lim called and the flop was {10-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}. Both players checked the flop and Livschitz bet 16,000 on the {7-Diamonds} turn. Lim made it 45,000, but Livschitz shoved for a total of 91,000. After a long tank, Lim got away from it and gave Livschitz another pot on her early Day 2 run.

The action was picked up in a pot of just over 60,000 on a completed board showing {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Spades}{7-Hearts}. Calvin Anderson cut out a sizable bet of 55,000 and the player on the button went deep in the tank. After close to a minute of thought, the button tossed in a chip for the call.

"A flush is good," said the button before Anderson rolled over {q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for a full house.

"Yeah that's good too," laughed the button as he mucked his hand.
