Gerasimova Eliminates Opponent with Flopped Straight

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Liya Gerasimova opened to 6,500 in the cutoff and the small blind jammed all in for 27,500. Gerasimova asked for a count before flicking in a chip to call.

Small Blind: {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Liya Gerasimova: {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The two ladies went heads-up to a flop of {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} which gave Gerasimova the nut straight. The {7-Hearts} on the turn left her opponent drawing dead to the {3-Clubs} on the river.

Dowdy Scores a Double Knockout

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
David Dowdy
David Dowdy

David Dowdy raised to 7,500 and a player in the button called before the small blind shoved. When the dust settled, both the button and small blind were all in and Dowdy had them both covered. The cards were turned up and the dealer was ready for a runout.

Button: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Small Blind: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
David Dowdy: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Dowdy's queens held up to knock both players out of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Yuval Bronshtein currently sits with around 460,000 at the same table.

Volosevich Runs Out of Chips

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Matt Volosevich was down to just 38,000 chips after the break and pushed all in from the hijack. Sam Rashid picked up a monster on the button and reraised to 70,000 which got both of the blinds to fold.

Matt Volosevich: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Sam Rashid: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and both players picked up a pair of aces but Rashid held the better kicker. The {a-Hearts} on the turn and the {k-Spades} on the river gave Rashid a full house to eliminate Volosevich.

Ioakimides Downs Wang; Other Assorted Chip Counts

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Andros Ioakimides limped in under the gun and Michael Wang shoved all in for his last 30,500 on his left. The action folded back to Ioakimides who asked for a count before calling.

Michael Wang: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Andros Ioakimides: {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}

The flop came {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} with the queen in the window but it was quickly followed by the deuce. The {10-Spades} on the turn meant Wang was drawing dead to the {j-Hearts} on the river.

Powers Takes From Nordstrand With Full House

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Action was three ways with 25,000 in the middle and {7-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} on the board when Kathy Liebert checked from the small blind before Jacob Powers tossed out 10,000 from two seats over. Cory Nordstrand called from the button and Liebert folded before {2-Clubs} fell on the turn.

Powers tossed out 5,000 and called when Nordstrand made it 27,000.

The river was {2-Hearts} and Powers bet 5,000 once again. Nordstrom put out a stack of chips that looked like 60,000 and Powers quickly called while turning over {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} for sixes full of deuces. Nordstrom tossed the losing hand in the muck.

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Jason DeWitt raised it up to 6,000 in early position and Pierre De Almeida three-bet to 15,500 on the button. The big blind flat-called and DeWitt stuck in a four-bet to 48,500.

De Almeida thought for a moment before announcing all in as he slid out a stack of chips. The big blind let his hand go and DeWitt went into the tank. After a few minutes passed by, the clock was finally called and DeWitt eventually found the fold button.

Lisichkina Takes With River Bet

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Yuval Bronshtein raised to 7,000 and Yulia Lisichkina called from the button before the blinds got out of the way.

The river was {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{k-Spades} and Bronshtein bet 5,000. Lisichkina called and the turn was {9-Diamonds}.

Bronshtein check-called a 12,000 bet on the turn to see {k-Diamonds} on the river before he checked again. Lisichkina fired 15,000 and that was too much so Bronshtein tossed his hand in the muck.
