Anyone looking for action on July 8 at the Wynn Summer Classic hosted by the Wynn Las Vegas had just one option.
Day 1b of the $2,200 No Limit Hold’em event was the only tournament on — unless you include the $400 Milestone Satellite to Day 1b of the $2,200 No Limit Hold’em.
Players turned out in large numbers to play in the iconic event, putting together a prize pool just shy of $4 million.

Michael Mann.
Day 1a of the $2,200 No Limit Hold’em ($2m GTD) left Patrik Jaros at the top of the leaderboard with 999,000. He topped a field that had hit 592 players.
Yesterday's flight of Day 1b players changed all that, knocking Jaros down to second, and installing Michael Case Mann as the chip leader with 1,093,000 in chips.
Mann led a much larger Day 1b field of 1,414 entries whic brought the total number of entries for the event up to 2,006.
However, brutal attrition on both days meant that only 248 players from both days ended play with a bag for Day 2.
As Day 2 begins later today, those 248 players return looking for their cut of a $3,981,910 prize pool. They return at midday today to play down to a winner.

What's Happening On July 9?
Wynn Las Vegas.
July 9 will be a change of pace. After several days focused on a few central big tournaments, today will see the scope of the festival widen again.
Day 2 of the $2,200 No Limit Hold’em ($2m GTD) plays down to a final table starting at midday today. However, it will not be alone on the poker room floor; there will also be two one-day $1,100 No Limit Hold’em events on the go.
The first of these is a $250,000 guaranteed event with 30,000 starting stacks and 30-minute blinds. It is scheduled to start at 1 p.m., and late registration remains open until around 5:30 p.m. when level 9 is scheduled to start. This tournament will play down to a winner today.
The second event is a one-day $1,100 NLH Turbo. This will be a brisker event, kicking off at 6 p.m., closing late registration by 9 p.m., and ending when a winner is declared.

2025 Wynn Summer Classic Remaining Schedule
You can read the remaining Wynn Summer Classic Schedule below!
July 6 at the Wynn Summer Classic was a one-event kind of day.
The only matter to be attended to was the Day 1c flight of the $1,600 Mystery Bounty, which played out in full, building the pot to $3,633,630, but leaving the Day 1b chip leader Sergei Sultanov undisturbed at the head of the leaderboard.
$1,600 Mystery Bounty Chip Counts
Wynn Summer Classic chips.
Day 1c was the third and final starting flight of the $1,600 Mystery Bounty.
By the end of play, the event had accrued a total prize pool of $3,633,630, coughed up by 2,541 entries across the three Day 1 flights. That puts the $1,600 Mystery Bounty comfortably in the black, exceeding the $2 million guarantee by an extra 82%.
Day 1 attrition was brutal, and across the three Day 1s, that initial batch of hopeful entrants was whittled down to just 317 players for the Day 2 field.
Day 2 is when the mystery bounty feature kicks in. Each elimination will earn the eliminator a bounty voucher that can be turned in for a randomized mystery bounty. In this event, those bounties will fall somewhere between $500 and $100,000.
Anthony Hu.
Leading the field into Day 2 is Sergei Sultanov with 2,127,000. Sultanov took the chip lead at the end of Day 1b, replacing the Day 1a chip leader Aleksandr Iasnogorodsky (866,000).
Iasnogorodsky is now the number ten stack.
Day 1c furnished all of the remaining eight players in the top ten, including Anthony Hu (1,273,000) in second and Hugo Ouazana Abihssira (1,171,000) in third.
Day 2 begins at midday today and will continue until the final bounty is claimed during heads up play.

Yesterday's $1,100 No Limit Hold'em came with a $250,000 guarantee on which the Wynn had to make good. With only 240 entries, the event came close to the guarantee but failed to break it, forcing the Wynn to top the prize pool up to a nice round quarter million.
As a result, there was a little extra sugar in Shigeo Marumoto's first-place prize of $51,145. Marumoto made this score after beating Stephen Kehoe heads up.
Kehoe won $35,562 for coming in second.

2025 Wynn Summer Classic Remaining Schedule
Check out the remaining Wynn Summer Classic Schedule below!
July 2 at the Wynn Summer Classic was a huge day with five events on the go, one of which was the final table of the festival's main event — the $10,400 Wynn Summer Championship.
The Championship saw the final nine return and a final winner leave triumphant.
As well as crowning a new Summer Champion, the Wynn Summer Classic had a few other events checking, betting, and raising away in the background. These events were Day 1A of the $3,000 PLO Mystery Bounty, Day 1 of the two-day $25,800 NLH 8-Max, and two NLH freezeouts (a $1,600 NLH tourney, and an $1,100 Turbo).
Michael Sklenicka Wins $2,339,200 And Becomes The 2025 Wynn Summer Championship Winner
Michael Sklenicka's journey to victory in the $10,400 Wynn Summer Championship started a week ago with the first of four Day 1 flights. Following that came three more days of action, culminating in yesterday's Day 4.
Along the way, the field accrued 1,537 entries — for a prize pool of $15,062,600 — before cutting that field back down to one.
Sklenicka won the event, his masterful poker during his four days of play earned him $2,339,200 for first place.

Luis Faria Wins $1,600 No Limit Hold'em ($500k GTD)
Luis Faria.
The $1,600 No Limit Hold'em ($500k GTD) tournament went to Luis Faria who took the event down in the early hours of the morning.
Faria defeated a UK player, Caleb Powell, heads up, putting $183,268 in Faria's pocket and a WSC trophy on his mantelpiece.
Although the $1,600 No Limit Hold'em ($500k GTD) is a step up in buy in from the usual $1,100 event, the turnout for the $1,600 event was very strong. A total of 695 players entered the event. This is more entries than most of the frequent $1,100 No Limit Hold'em offerings.
Such a high turnout made for a total prize pool of $1,007,750 of which, Powell earned $121,453 for his second-place finish.

$3,000 PLO Mystery Bounty Kicks Off!
Jonathan Bowers.
Mixing things up yesterday was an event that changed the format to mystery bounty and the game to pot limit Omaha.
The four-card fiend who carried off the chip lead after Day 1A of the $3,000 PLO Mystery Bounty Day 1A was Jonathan Bowers. Bowers amassed a stack of 992,000 in chips by the time the tournament director called end of play.
Bowers is followed in the rankings by Leonardo Daviglus (862,000) and Joshua Ladines (794,000).
This event has a guarantee of $1,000,000. This guarantee was smashed on Day 1A by the 558 player turnout which put the prize pool at $1,517,760 with still another Day 1 flight to go.
Day 1B starts at 1 p.m. today. After that, the 69 survivors from Day 1A will join up with the survivors of Day 1B on July 4 for Day 2 of the event.
The mystery bounties only kick in once play begins on Day 2.

David Chen Leads Second $25k 8-Max High Roller Event After Day 1
David Chen.
The next event on the schedule yesterday was a close duplicate of the $25,800 NLH 8-Max (2 Day) event from two days prior.
This time around, the event attracted 35 entries. This was fewer than the 41 entries from the previous version, but a solid turnout for such a pricey tourney.
As a result of this turnout, $875,000 will be up for grabs when the five remaining survivors return later today.
When they return, the final five will be led by David Chen with 2,345,000 in chips.
However, he is up against close competition from Masashi Oya with 2,015,000 and Brandon Wittmeyer with 1,705,000 in second and third place, respectively.
The remaining players at the final table are high-rolling crusher Brek Schutten (450,000) and John Krpan (290,000).

$1,100 NLH Turbo Event Goes To Samuel Bernstein
Wynn Chips.
It wouldn't be a day at the WSC without at least one $1,100 no limit hold'em event and yesterday, that event was the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Turbo ($100k GTD).
Some 304 players bought in, a decent turnout that put $296,400 in the prize pool and $47,587 up top.
Samuel Bernstein collected that top prize after a heads up confrontation with Yousef Nassr that ended with all the chips on Bernstein's side of the table.
Nassr collected $38,632 for second place.

2025 Wynn Summer Classic Remaining Schedule
Check out the remaining Wynn Summer Classic Schedule below!
July 1 at the Wynn Summer Classic was a flurry of activity.
On the schedule, players could find two one-day $1,100 NLH events, the $25,800 No Limit Hold'em 8-Max final table, a $25,800 No Limit Hold'em 8-Max satellite, and Day 3 of the $10,400 Wynn Summer Championship.
The last of these is the festival's main event, which played down to the final table, currently led by Jun Obara.
Wynn Summer Championship Final Nine Confirmed
Jun Obara.
The Wynn Summer Championship is down to the final nine players from a starting field of 1,537 entries. With its $10,400 buy in, the high turnout the event has put $15,062,600 in the prize pool.
Eighty-one players returned to the action yesterday hungry for their chunk of that pie. However, only nine now remain.
Leading the final table is Jun Obara with 16,275,000. He has a small lead over Michael Sklenicka (14,550,000) in second place and an only slightly longer lead over Mario Navarro Arrocha (12,650,000) in third.
Michael Sklenicka.
Also at the table is Yulian Bogdanov (6,725,000) a Bulgarian pro who won the $2,500 No Limit Hold'em 6-max during the 2023 Wynn Summer Classic and Daniel Rezaei (4,400,000) and Austrian pro with $4.9 million in live tournament cashes according to The Hendon Mob.
The final table will be back at midday today for Day 4 — the last day of the tourney.

Ponakovs Beats Sturm Heads Up To Win $25k 8-Max
Aleksejs Ponakovs.
Day 1 of the $25,800 No Limit Hold'em 8-Max ground the field down from 41 entries to seven over the course of just one day's action.
Yesterday was Day 2 of the event, and it finished the job off, playing down to a winner. When the grinder had stopped turning, Aleksejs Ponakovs was the only player left standing.
Leon Sturm came into the final table with a slight chip lead, but there was still everything to play for and the rogue's gallery of sharks and high roller regs that he was up against weren't going to make it easy.
However, he held on to the last minute, only falling out of contention during heads up play, coming in second and earning $295,225 after he cut a deal with Ponakovs.
Leon Sturm.
Ponakovs's post-deal cut was $297,150, taken from a total prize pool of $1,025,000.
Only the top six cashed, so Santhosh Suvarna in seventh went away empty-handed, but the rest of the final table — including Sam Soverel (4th - $117,875) — earned at least $62,600 for their trouble.
There will be another $25,800 No Limit Hold'em 8-Max event tomorrow.

Ran Ilani Wins Biggest $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($250K GTD) Event Of the Festival
Ran Ilani.
The $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($250K GTD) trophy went to Ran Ilani yesterday. He had to defeat Ariel Mazabow heads up for the title, earning himself a check for $98,000 in the process.
The pair were the last two finishers from a field of 604 entries and their prizes were culled from a pool of $588,900. Both numbers are the highest of the festival for a $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($250K GTD) tournament of which there have been many.
2021 Wynn Millions $10,000 Main Event winner, Andrew Moreno, came fourth for $43,997 and 2013 WPT Barcelona champion, Thomas Middleton, took ninth place, earning $10,166.
Mazabow won $83,016 for second place.
There will not be another $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($250K GTD) today. However, fans of the format don't have long to wait as the next one is scheduled for tomorrow.

2025 Wynn Summer Classic Results
Check out the winners so far at the 2025 Wynn Summer Classic.
Tomorrow is another five-course meal of mostly no limit hold'em events with a PLO mystery bounty thrown in for spice.
Up first is the Wynn Summer Championship final table. This is the last day of the Wynn Summer Classic's flagship event. With over $15 million in the pot, it will be an exciting showdown. The final table kicks off at 12 p.m.
At the same time, the cry of "shuffle up and deal" goes out for the $1,600 No Limit Hold'em event. Late registration is open until around 4:30 p.m., once players have completed eight 30-minute blind levels plus a couple of breaks.
The $3,000 PLO Mystery Bounty starts at 1 p.m. This will be Day 1A of two starting flights. The second will be held tomorrow. Players have until around 8:30 p.m. to register.
At 2 p.m., the stakes go way up with the $25,800 No Limit Hold'em 8-Max. This is a duplicate of the event that finished earlier today, and like that event, this one is expected to run for two days. The final call for registration isn't until 9:30 p.m., but players who buy in before the event starts can benefit from a small discount.
Last but not least is the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Turbo, the backbone of this festival. This event is structured like the previous versions — 20-minute blind levels, 30,000 in the starting stacks, late registration until around 9 p.m.

Check out the remaining Wynn Summer Classic Schedule below!
Jon PillJulien Sitbon made Day 2 of the Wynn Summer Championship.
On June 30, the Wynn Summer Championship played down to 81 players at the Wynn Summer Classic.
While the festival's main event whittled down its field, two one-day $1,100 NLH tournaments crowned winners, and the $25,800 No Limit Hold'em 8-Max chewed through its Day 1 field, leaving just the final table.
Konstantin Held Holds Chip Lead In Wynn Summer Championship
Konstantin Held.
With 1,537 entries and a prize pool of $15,062,600, the Wynn Summer Classic is a massive event.
Yesterday, this event took the 551 Day 1 survivors and ground them down to nine full-ring tables.
Graeme Newman came into Day 2 with the biggest stack, but finished the day in the middle of the pack with 690,000.
Replacing Newman as the chip leader is Konstantin Held with 3,950,000 in chips. Behind him is Gregor Sverko (3,425,000) and Yulian Bogdanov (3,015,000) all within reasonable reach of one another.
Kristen Foxen survives with a short stack.
Among those who are still fighting for the championship are Julien Sitbon (2,020,000) who remains in the top ten, Faraz Jaka (1,175,000), Kevin Rabichow (1,040,000), Chino Rheem (765,000), Christoph Vogelsang (755,000), and Rainer Kempe (725,000).
High stakes crushers Chris Brewer (275,000) , David Peters (255,000), and Kristen Foxen (160,000) are also hanging in there with some of the smallest stacks of the day.
The 81 surviving players will return at midday today for Day 3, when they will play down to the final table.

Sturm Blows Past Competition To Lead $25k 8-Max Final Table
Leon Sturm leads the event.
The $25,800 No Limit Hold'em 8-Max kicked off yesterday.
After a leisurely start — with a chunk of the field making use of the late registration option — a total of 41 players eventually entered the event.
After a full day of playing no-limit hold'em, only seven of these players remained with German high roller regular, Leon Sturm leading the table.
Sturm has 2,235,000 in his stack, giving him a small lead over Mikita Badziakouski, who is in a close second with 2,010,000 in chips.
Mikita Badziakouski is second on the leaderboard.
Aleksejs Ponakovs, another regular on the high roller circuit, is in third with 1,495,000 in chips.
As you might expect with an event like this, there are several other sharks in the mix. The final seven is rounded out by Brandon Wittmeyer (1,020,000), Sam Soverel (710,000), David Chen (430,000), and Santhosh Suvarna (300,000).
All seven will return at 1 p.m. today to complete the event.

Pora Collects $87,402 For $1,100 NLH Victory
Dumitru Pora won the event.
Dumitru Pora emerged victorious in the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($250K GTD), held at the Wynn Summer Classic yesterday.
Pora won $87,402 for his first-place finish and Oshri Azran took home $57,325 for coming second.
Just below them in third was Olivio Gontijo from Brazil, who won $44,291. Gontijo was one of three Brazilians who dominated the final nine, along with Breno Drumond Avelino (5th - $34,929), and Amauri Grutka (7th - $15,344).
These players were originally part of a 477-player field that generated a $465,075 prize pool. This is one of the bigger turnouts for the festival's one-day events and may be replicated later today when a similar $1,100 NLH event kicks off.

2025 Wynn Summer Classic Remaining Schedule
Check out the remaining Wynn Summer Classic Schedule below!
On June 29, the Wynn Summer Classic had just one goal — to knock out the fourth and final starting flight of the $10 million guaranteed, $10,400 buy in, $10,400 Wynn Summer Championship.
The tables for the event dominated the tournament space all day as the total number of entries nearly doubled in one flight.
Julian Manolio Bags Chip Lead For Day 1D
At the start of Day 1D, the $10,400 Wynn Summer Championship was already shaping up to be a massive event. Despite the $10k price point, more players bought into the event than some events with 1/10th the cost to enter.
As the day began, there were 788 entries and $7,722,400 in the prize pool. By the end of the day, the tournament's vital statistics had swelled by another 749 buy ins to 1,537 entries and $15,062,600 in the prize pool.
A total of 272 players survived from the the Day 1D field. They join a now 551-player strong Day 2 field that will return later today to continue the action.
Graeme Newman retains the overall chip lead.
After Day 1D, Graeme Newman still leads the field overall with 506,500 in chips, but Day 1D chip leader, Julian Manolio has slipped into second.
The Day 1D second- and third-bags — Vijay Ramani (433,000) and Chin Lim (418,000) — have also taken the third and fourth spots overall.

2025 Wynn Summer Classic Remaining Schedule
Check out the remaining Wynn Summer Classic Schedule below!
The $3,500 No Limit Hold’em event was meant to crown a winner on June 26 at the Wynn Summer Classic. However, a big turnout meant a long Day 3 left five players standing at the end of it.
Meanwhile, an even bigger tournament was underway — the $10,400 Wynn Summer Championship.
This $10 million event is the flagship event of the festival and yesterday, it kicked off with Day 1A.
Martirosian Leads Final Five In $3.5k NLH
Artur Martirosian.
It took three Day 1 flights plus two additional days of action to get here. However, another day of action has been put on the docket for the final five in the $3,500 No Limit Hold'em ($4m GTD). These five players were still battling it out when the tournament director called it a day.
The event's $6,638,925 prize pool means that all five players have a $1,016,763 first-place prize to chase but with the chip counts as they stand, one of these players has by far the best chance of victory.
Artur Martirosian is sitting behind a massive stack of 55,658,000 chips. This is a little more than half of the 104,833,000 chips in play.
Kestutis Jungevicius.
Behind Martirosian, the next biggest stack is Kestutis Jungevicius (16,675,000) a Lithuanian pro who has yet to cash outside of Europe. Whatever happens, he will be adding the U.S. flag to his Hendon Mob page today.
Antoine Sankari is in third place, just behind Jungevicius with 15,975,000. And in fourth and fifth are Lei Yu (8,275,000) and Andrew Moreno (8,250,000) and the bigger stacks have plenty of room to make some moves.
The blinds are at 300,000/600,000 with a 600,000 ante, so even the shortest two stacks have 14 big blinds to play with.
The final five will return later today to play down to a winner.

John Juanda In Top Ten After Day 1A of Wynn Summer Championship
John Juanda.
The Wynn Summer Championship is underway at last, with 236 players already having shelled out the $10,400 buy in.
With $2,312,800 in the pot already and three more Day 1 flights to go, the event is comfortably on track to hit the advertised $10 million guarantee.
Fausto Valdez bagged the biggest stack at the end of the day. He will be returning to a heap of 395,000 in chips on Day 2.
Fausto Valdez.
In second, is Franco Spitale (382,000) and in third, Lewis Spencer (366,500).
Also in the top ten is John Juanda, one of poker's best with over $26 million in tournament cashes.
The 80 survivors from Day 1A will join the other survivors for Day 2 on June 30.
Today, Day 1B kicks off at midday.

Check out the remaining Wynn Summer Classic Schedule below!
The $25,800 No Limit Hold'em 8-Max got 56 runners on Day 1.
By the start of Day 2, only eight players remained. With seven players paid and $1,400,000 in the prize pool, one of these eight players was going to be disappointed and it didn't take long to decide who that would be.
Ioannis Konstas exited in eighth place, bursting the bubble and briefly releasing the tension.
That tension began to rise again as players began to drop out and the remaining players turned their eyes to the first-place prize.
Jesse Lonis and Alexandros Theologis found themselves heads up when they cut a deal. Lonis won the event, the trophy, and $410,242.
Alexandros Theologis won $353,458 for second place.

$3,500 No Limit Hold'em Day 1B Makes A Splash
Pavlin Karakikov.
$3,500 No Limit Hold'em ($4m GTD) Day 1B brought the total number of entries up to 718, putting the event more than halfway to hitting its $4,000,000 guarantee.
Once the dust had settled, 89 survivors found a bag to join Day 1A's 43 survivors. That puts the Day 2 field at 132 with one more flight to go.
