Big Stacks Collide on Table 45

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Two of the big stacks in the entire field were seated just a few chairs apart on Table 45 and collided in a massive pot. Calvin Anderson was heads-up with Karapet Galstyan with over 350,000 chips in the pot.

The board read 1053A2 and Anderson started with a check from the small blind. Galstyan shoved all in for 272,000 in the hijack and Anderson gave it some thought before letting his hand go.

"King-queen of clubs?" Anderson asked but got no response from Galstyan.

The turn brought the 8 and Shorr checked this time. Palmer fired out a bet of 15,000 and Shorr stuck around for the J on the river. Shorr checked again and Palmer sized up a bet of 50,000. Shorr quickly disposed of his cards and Palmer raked in the pot.

Victoria Livschitz pushed all in for her last 40,000 chips in middle position and was called by Dawson Chen with a slightly bigger stack in the big blind.

Victoria Livschitz: KJAll in
Dawson Chen: A3

The flop came 954 to give Livschitz a flush draw to go with her two live cards. The K on the turn vaulted her to the lead but it was the 2 on the river that gave Chen a straight.

Massey Asks for It All

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Picking up the action on the river with around 50,000 in the pot, Aaron Massey quickly shoved all in after the river hit the felt. On a board of J439Q, Bradley Gafford was put to the test for his remaining 61,000 chips.

Gafford deliberated for a couple of minutes and then eventually made the call. Massey turned over 99 for a set of nines while Gafford could only produce 88 before leaving the table.

Gala Sends Wade to the Rail

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A completed board of Q103109 was spread across the felt with around 80,000 in the middle. Domenico Gala and Tristan Wade were heads-up and Gala took the initiative by shoving all in from the hijack. Wade was put to the test for his remaining 70,000 chips and made the call.

Gala flipped over QJ for a rivered flush and Wade was unable to beat it, sending his cards to the muck and exiting the tournament area.
