Jessica Vierling Bags Massive Chip Lead on Day 1a in $1,100 NLH
Day 1a of the $1,100 No-Limit Hold'em, a $500,000 guaranteed tournament, saw 120 players register, and none came even close to finishing the session with as many chips as Jessica Vierling.
The German crusher who lives in Las Vegas ended the first session in the Wynn Millions tournament with 1,025,000 chips, over 125 big blinds. Vierling has over $1.7 million in live tournament cashes, and she'll be looking to add to that figure.
Vierling wasn't the only high-profile player to bag a big stack. Mitchell Halverson (522,000), Nick Palma (368,000), and David Moses (343,000) also finished the session among the top 10 chip stacks.
The NLH event, which offers three Day 1 starting flights, already has $115,800 in the pot following Thursday's session. There were 15 players who bagged chips, and Day 1b will start at noon on Friday.
