40 More Players Make It Through to Day 2 of $2M GTD NLH
Another 40 players found a bag across Day 1c and Day 1d of the Wynn Summer Classic's $1,600 No-Limit Hold'em, bringing the number of Day 2 qualifiers to 83 with just two flights left to play.
A total of 324 entries were recorded on Tuesday, pushing the overall field size to 674 entries and the prize pool to $963,820. That leaves plenty of value still on the table, with the tournament needing another 725 entries across today's Day 1e and Day 1f Turbo flights to reach its $2 million guarantee.
David Richards topped the Day 1c and Day 1d survivors after bagging 625,000 chips, narrowly edging Zhiyang Jin and Mike Takayama, who both finished with 622,000. Alex Faynshteyn (604,000) and Thomas Heinrich (592,000) rounded out the top five from Tuesday's action.
Combined Day 1cd Chip Counts
While Richards' bag was enough to lead the latest flights, he still sits fifth overall heading into the final day of starting flights. Cynthia Vencebi remains the player to catch with 782,000 chips, followed by Nicholas Wang (699,000), Justin Young (689,000), and Mathieu His (662,000).
Today's Day 1e and Day 1f Turbo flights represent the final chance for players to secure a seat on Day 2
