$2 Million Guaranteed NLH Event Down to 226 Players
James Carroll, a top tournament crusher, is among 226 players who will be returning for Day 2 on Thursday at 1 p.m. PT to battle for the trophy in the $1,600 No-Limit Hold'em event.
This $2,000,000 guaranteed tournament had 1,829 entries and $2,615,470 in the pot when registration closed. There is only one player with over 1,000,000 chips, and that is Zheming Zhu, who bagged 1,074,000 on Day 1.
Zhu's lead, however, is minimal, with Valentyn Shabelnyk right behind him with 970,000 chips. Liran Betito is in third place at 906,000. There are a number of big stacks heading to Day 2, and Carroll, with 550,000 isn't far off the pace. Jeremy Becker, the Wynn daily legend, is holding steady with 394,000, and Kenna James will return to action with 340,000 chips.
Stop back right here to PokerNews tomorrow to see who won the trophy.
