The Vegas Grinder: Bellagio Prelims, Caesars Palace Classic and Venetian Deep Stack All Return This Month

There’s been some downtime for poker in Las Vegas since the World Series of Poker wrapped up a couple of months ago. Most of the tournament action has moved elsewhere around the world, but things will be heating back up in the desert as the November Nine inches closer and closer.

It's not all about tournaments in Las Vegas right now. If tournaments aren't your thing, head over to The Wynn to get in on some great cash game action and take part in their $50,000 October Giveaway. All you have to do is sign up for a Red Card and start playing at the tables. Everyday, five $500 cash drawings take place at 11:00 a.m, 2:00 p.m.. 5:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 11:00 p.m. When you start playing, you'll earn one raffle ticket for just sitting down plus one ticket for each hour played. If you jump into The Wynn's daily tournament, the entry will earn you three tickets. The promotion is running from October 4 through 29.

One of the most prominent venues for poker in Las Vegas is the Bellagio and starting on October 8, the Festa al Lago tournament series kicks off. There are 13 events scheduled covering the games of Omaha hi/lo, pot-limit Omaha and no-limit hold’em. There should be plenty of action and big names mixing it up on the felt so if you're looking to take a few shots, these are your events.

Looking for something with buy-ins more in your price range? The Caesars Palace Classic begins on October 21 and will be right up your alley and has plenty of events to keep you busy. In fact, there’s over 30 events on the schedule ranging from $235 all the way up to the $1,080 Championship Event. Nearly all of the events are no-limit hold’em, but there are a couple variations in the form of a turbo event, many double stack events, a shootout and a six-handed one.

Also making a return to the Las Vegas tournament scene is the highly touted Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza IV. The series begins on October 28 and runs for nearly an entire month deep into November. With 27 events on its schedule, there’s plenty of action to be spread around including events in H.O.R.S.E., Omaha Hi/Lo and Pot-Limit Omaha. The buy-ins range from $340 to $2,500 and there’s always plenty of play in these tournaments.
