Full Tilt, PokerStars, & Absolute Get Extension to Respond to Amended Complaint
On Nov. 30, the U.S. District Court Southern District of New York revealed that it granted Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars, and Absolute Poker extensions to respond to the amended complaint filed on Sept. 21, 2011.
According to three separate Stipulation and Orders filed on Nov. 29, 2011, each company will "have until Jan. 2, 2012, to answer or otherwise respond to the Amended Complaint." The companies were originally supposed to respond by Nov. 30, but given various claims for subject property by entities associated with sites (i.e. the recent moves by Howard Lederer and Rafe Furst), additional time was granted. As the Stipulation and Order for Full Tilt Poker states:
"Full Tilt is in settlement discussions with the United States and has requested additional time to answer or otherwise respond to the Amended Complaint; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY STIPULATED AND AGREED by and between the United State of America, by its attorney Preet Bharara, United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Jason H. Cowley, Assistant United States Attorney, of counsel, and Full Tilt, by they attorney, Barry Boss, Esq., of Cozen O'Connor."
