PokerNews Exclusive: Esfandiari Talks Pokerography Ahead of Monday's Reddit AMA
In celebration of Antonio Esfandiari's debut episode on "Pokerography" – which will air on Poker Central TV on Sunday, November 29th – the man affectionately known as "The Magician" will be featured on Reddit's Ask Me Anything celebrity channel this coming Monday, November 23rd from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. PT.

Esfandiari follows in the footsteps of Phil Hellmuth, who did a Reddit AMA before his episode became the first Pokerography to ever air. In advance of Esfandiari’s Reddit AMA, PokerNews had the opportunity to chat with him about his life, his upcoming episode of Pokerography, and the just-announced Super High Roller Cash Game TV premiere, which will air on Wednesday, December 2nd and feature the likes of Bobby Baldwin, Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan, just to name a few.

Esfandiari: One exciting thing that’s happening is that I’ll be available online on Monday to anyone who wants to ask me anything, through Reddit’s AMA online forum. I’ll be available from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Las Vegas time. I hope PokerNews fans will join in with their questions! The more unusual, the better!
I love the ability to talk to anyone about anything – it’s exciting. The advanced buzz on my forum has been great too – the news of Monday’s AMA is trending high on the Poker Subreddit.
Tell us more about your Pokerography episode. What’s it about?
Pokerography is a new, original show created by Poker Central, the new 24/7 TV channel dedicated to all things Poker. Each episode of Pokerography focuses on the personal, behind-the-scenes, real life stories of poker players. This episode is my turn.

What’s the scoop with the Cash Game?
It had a $250,000 buy-in, and was filmed in July in Las Vegas - the same week as the Super High Roller Bowl and the Super High Roller Celebrity Bowl. I was lucky enough to play in all three events so that was a long and exciting month! The other two games already aired on NBC Sports; the Super High Roller Cash Game is airing for the first time on Poker Central on December 2nd.

Any good travels coming up?
I’m going to Israel for in December – I’ve never been there before so I’m excited to see it for the first time.
Any good magic tricks lately?
My best magic trick recently was dubbing Neil Blumenfield as the “Legend” while commentating at the WSOP. It sounds like that nickname is now with him for life!
I hear that you’re a dad now, how's that going?
Amazing! The most incredible gift a man can have is to experience the love that he has for his child. It’s single-handedly the best!
