While many poker players are hitting the live felt in the Borgata Poker Open at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, many others turned up to play online on this past Sunday for the biggest tournaments of the week on New Jersey regulated online poker networks.
Norman "ADMSnackBar" Michalek was the big winner on PokerStars NJ by taking down the Sunday Special, $50,000 Gtd for $10,225. Also on the final table were Ted "TobogganM.D.," Ely snagging fifth place for $2,900 and Edwin "GiantGeniu$" Roman finishing one spot behind in sixth place for $2,250.
Also winning big on PokerStars NJ was "CReinhold", who finished on top of a 44-entrant field to win the Sunday High Roller [6-Max], $15,000 Gtd. Yong "iFoldN0T" Kwon (3rd - $3,102) and Fred "Scooby-D0O" Farrell (4th - $2,068) also finished in the money in this tournament.
Meanwhile, "WOLFof5thSt" was the overall biggest winner this weekend by shipping the $50,000 Ultimate Warrior on WSOP.com NJ/888poker NJ for $13,500. Notable players on the final table in this tournament included Jacob "Jakep474" Perry (4th - $3,500), Chad "flushoff" Dubik (7th - $1,900) and Baruch "gamblegamble" Krieger (8th - $1,200).
Perry's big Sunday didn't end here as he appeared on the final table in two tournaments on parytpoker NJ/BorgataPoker.com including a seventh place finish in the Daily $10K for $460 and a second place finish as a heads-up deal in the Sunday $40k for $7,155.
New Jersey's "Skip_2_My_Lou" was the other player involved in the deal in the Sunday $40K to collect $7,292 and Jesse "NoXcape" Elliot finished just outside the deal in third place for $4,257.
Also winning tournaments with at least a $10,000 guaranteed prize pool on Sunday were David "dehhhhh" Coleman ($10,000 Fierce Warrior - $4,510) and Anthony "Flawlessbink" Maio (Daily $10K - $2,749).
The two-day event begins at 4:00 p.m. with a $2,150 buy in with reentries available as long as late registration is open. Players that make it through the first day will continue tomorrow, Sept. 21 at 12:00 p.m., when the action will continue until a winner is crowned and makes history.
