888poker XL Blizzard: "LucySagara70" Wins The $25,000 Knockout

On the ninth day of the XL Blizzard Series on 888poker, players could compete in three new tournaments with the XL Blizzard #25 - $25,000 Knockout as the highlight of the day. The $35 buy-in Mini edition and a $75 buy-in Late edition started as well. Let's take a look at the results.

At 20:00 GMT, the XL Blizzard #25 - $25,000 Knockout kicked off. After late registration closed, there were 245 registered players resulting in a total prize pool of $35,045 with $5,113 reserved for the winner. More than nine hours were played before they crowned a champion.

Dutchman "LucySagara70" battled heads up against United Kingdom's "Patsharpe"

Nine players made the final table, securing themselves of $475. "Marklewis18" (ninth, $475) "spasticmonk" (eighth, $625), Fabricio "DrMiKee" Gonzalez (seventh, $875), "kakospaixths" (sixth, $1,125), "toolaterun" (fifth, $1,450) were eliminated in quick succession. After that, "HotSauce86" (fourth, $2,125) and "Perrymejsen" (third, $2,825) missed out on the final heads-up.

Dutchman "LucySagara70" battled heads up against United Kingdom's "Patsharpe" and in the end, the former took down the XL Blizzard title. The runner-up received $3,750 and an extra $349 in KO's while the winner won $5,113 and an extra KO worth $410.

XL Blizzard #26 - $10,000 Mini Knockout

For the players who didn't have the bankroll to play the $150 event, or wanted to multi table, there was also a Mini edition with a buy-in of just $35. In total, 1,731 players competed in this event which made for a $23,758 prize pool with the first prize just over $3,353.

The final two players made a deal.

In this event, Brazil's "BernardoBG" came one shy of making the money but that got the Brazilian a ticket for the Bubble of Bubbles tournament.

In the end, "IbetUfold_x" (fourth, $1,361) and "StollenAA" (third, $1,809) were eliminated from the final table. The final two players made a deal, where Czech Republic's "grigorq77" got $2,890 and Brazil's "SeuZezinho23" locked up $2,858.

After the deal, "grigorq77" won the tournament and got an extra $98 for knocking out other players and the final bounty.

$1 Million Winners Promotion

Winning more than one XL Blizzard tournament not only nets you some substantial prize money, it will also net you a prize of between $1,000 and a cool $1 million.

If you manage to win two XL Blizzard events, 888poker will reward you with $1,000; win a third and you’ll receive $10,000. Anyone who manages to take down four XL Blizzard events will walk away with $100,000, and if you’re lucky and skillful enough to triumph in five events, your bankroll will receive a $1 million boost.

Champion of Champions
