Andrew Ostapchenko Biggest Winner in Parx Big Stax 30

Andrew Ostapchenko won the Parx 1100 without a deal.

While the action isn't quite finished at Parx Big Stax XXX in Philadelphia, the remaining big events wrapped up on Monday as the Big Stax 1100 and Big Stax 2500 ended. The two unlimited reentry events produced some of the largest prize pools of series.

In Big Stax 1100, Andrew Ostapchenko (pictured above) topped a field of 455 entries to win $97,220. That's his first recorded live victory and second-biggest career cash after scoring over $200K in the 2017 WSOP Main Event.

Meanwhile, the Big Stax 2500 ended with a three-way chop. Greg "Fish" Fishberg was the big winner as he added to his $1.6 million in tournament cashes with $40,000. Fellow deal-makers Yoon Choi and Mike Marder got around $25K apiece.

Big Stax 1100

Ostapchenko took a big chip lead into the final table of Big Stax 1100, as he got very lucky to eliminate Jason Rivkin, according to the live updates. Rivkin coolered Ostapchenko with kings against queens for about 45 big blinds, but Ostapchenko managed to find a queen on the river to bust him and take almost 7 million to the final table at blinds of 25,000/50,000/50,000.

From there, Ostapchenko chipped up a bit and watched as Kevin Lutz moved close to him in the counts, thanks in large part to his own set of queens cracking a bigger pair, this time aces held by an anonymous player.

Ostapchenko would then race back out ahead as he first eliminated Bart Golik in sixth with queens against jacks and then Jeff Yanchek in fifth when a short-stacked Yanchek couldn't hold with tens against ace-nine.

Lutz would lose most of his chips blind on blind when the nut flush draw failed to come home against Neal Gay's top set, and he busted in fourth to leave Ostapchenko with about 60 percent of the chips three-handed.

It was an advantage he wouldn't squander as he'd eliminate first Gay and then another anonymous player who managed to stick around for several levels with a short stack, finally falling heads up to the overwhelming leader.

Big Stax 2500

The Big Stax 2500 drew a considerably smaller field of 55 entries and actually ended a day earlier than planned. Parx fixture Fishberg and Choi were the two top stacks shortly after the money bubble, but everyone was a double away from prime position when it was six-handed.

However, it would be Gajan Jeganathan scoring the eliminations early in the money. East Coast reg Jon Borenstein fell to Jeganathan when he jammed in fives for a little over 20 big blinds over an open, only to be dominated by Jeganathan's nines. Josias Dossantos was the next victim, shoving 15 big blinds with queens and finding a great spot against J10. However, Jeganathan flopped a pair and hit trips on the river.

Jeganathan then had a great chance to double through Fishberg as he got in top two pair on the turn against Fishberg's double gutshot. However, Fishberg hit his straight on the river to put a bad beat on Jeganathan and render him to fourth-place money.

At that point, Fishberg had about 4 million out of 5.5 million in play. The final three agreed to a deal, and Fishberg cashed for $40,000, not much less than the original first-place money of $46,888. Marder and Choi, meanwhile, got just under second-place money.
