Another day of action in the 2024 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) on PokerStars is in the books and all eyes are on the intensifying race to the inaugural SCOOP League title.

A total of 16 champions were crowned last night, including a second in two days for Andras "probirs" Nemeth, with PokerStars Ambassador Lex Veldhuis having another good night, making Day 2 of the SCOOP 50-M: $530 Wednesday Mystery after this entertaining hand with just five minutes left in the day.

SCOOP League Race Hots Up

The SCOOP League has so far been an exciting addition to the festival, with fans and players able to get in on the action with one of four potential freerolls. Players have until May 20 to register, so click here for more details!

On the tables, the race to top the inaugural standings is getting tense. Lex Veldhuis still leads, with a 1,400-point margin over Spraggy in second, with Tonkaaaa and Fintan further behind.

However, as always, there are events tonight that might help Spraggy put a dent in that lead!

All Eyes Turn to Razz

One of the best things about SCOOP is that it's not just No-Limit Hold'em. There are plenty of mixed game tournaments sprinkled throughout the schedule, and last night saw three Razz tournaments get underway.

Don't know how to play Razz? The PokerNews rules section has you covered. It's the best place to find out the rules, hand rankings and strategy tips on how to play razz!

And all eyes will be on the High and Medium final tables tonight with Spraggy's leading SCOOP League points scorer "FAL1st" at both of them.

SCOOP 60-H: $1,050 Razz Top 10 Chip Counts

In the High event, "FAL1st" holds the chip lead with eleven players remaining. However, he will have to fight of competition from three other players from Team Lex who are close behind him. The players from third to fourth in chips are all from the Dutchman's team, and collectively have won 19 SCOOP titles between them including the ten of Benny "RunGodlike" Glaser (pictured)

Also through to the final day are two-time WSOP ring winner Adam "Adamyid" Owen, Mason "Pye_Face21" Pye and, fresh from his sixth-place finish in the EPT Monte Carlo Main Event, Niclas "Flushiisback" Thumm.

SCOOP 60-M: $109 Razz Final Table

But "FAL1st" wasn't finished there. They've also made the final table in the Medium Razz event with just eight players remaining. While there is another player in the SCOOP League at the final table in the shape of Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen (pictured) — from Team Lex — the rest are undrafted meaning it could be a good opportunity for him to score points for Team Spraggy.

Two in Two for Nemeth

Andres Nemeth

No, you're not seeing double. In less than 20 hours Andras "probirs" Nemeth has added two SCOOP titles to his collection, bringing the Hungarian's total to a handful. He defeated Poland's "kmpk90" heads-up at the PLO 6-Max PKO final table to win $58,592 including over $36,000 in bounties.

There was another final table for Denis "aDrENalin710" Strebkov, resulting in more points for Team Lex. He's now the highest-scoring SCOOP league player, and sits second behind Renan "Internett93o" Bruschi in the SCOOP 2024 Player of the Year Leaderboard standings.
