SiGMA Poker Tour Brings the Party to Malta This September
Table Of Contents
After launching in Brazil with a high-energy debut, the SiGMA Poker Tour heads to Malta for its second-ever stop.
This time, the cards and cameras are heading to the Portomaso Casino from September 2–7, for a €150,000 guaranteed Main Event, a full schedule of satellites and side events, and a 24/7 open bar.
SPT Malta won’t be short on familiar faces. Ambassadors such as ex-professional footballer John Arne Riise, streamer Drea Karlsen, and Game of Gold star—and SiGMA and PokerNews ambassador—Lukas Robinson are all expected to take their seats.
SiGMA Poker Tour Malta Schedule
From Wednesday, September 3, players will grind through six starting flights in the SPT Malta Main Event, each offering a 50,000 starting stack, 30-minute levels, and unlimited re-entry through the first 10 levels. Two turbo flights (1D and 1F) provide a faster route for those short on time.
The Main Event Final Table plays out Sunday, September 7, but there’s plenty more to play along the way. Side events include:
- SPT Warm-Up (€110)
- HendonMob Championship (€220)
- SiGMA Mystery Bounty (€220)
- SiGMA Divas (freeroll for women)
- Cubeia Platinum Freeroll
- Sprint Turbo, daily satellites & more
Choose Your Ticket Type
Players have two ways to secure their seat in the SiGMA Poker Tour Malta Main Event.
The standard Main Event ticket costs €400 and includes full access to the tournament, along with a range of off-the-felt perks.
Players will be invited to the SiGMA Official Celebration, enjoy a 24/7 open bar throughout the event, take part in ambassador meet-and-greets, and receive conference access during the SiGMA Summit.
For those wanting the complete experience, the VIP Package is available for €1,700.
This all-in option includes five nights of accommodation at The George Hotel or a similar luxury property, along with everything included in the standard ticket, plus priority access to all events and enhanced hospitality throughout the festival.
As a limited-time offer, anyone purchasing either ticket type will also receive a Platinum Pass to the SiGMA Conference.
Brazil Sets the Standard
Back in April, the Monte Carlo Poker Club in São Paulo hosted the first-ever SiGMA Poker Tour festival.
The $770 Main Event drew 293 entries across five flights and saw Deddi Orpaz run the table. He came in with the chip lead and never looked back, defeating Argentina’s Jacques Blit heads-up to win $58,700 and his second career title.
“I actually came here for the SiGMA convention, my son’s (poker high roller Tom Orpaz) company won an award,” Orpaz said after his victory. “He told me, ‘You have to take another award,’ so that’s what I did.”
