Chidwick Closing Gap to Kenney on All-Time Money List After Triton Win
Table Of Contents
They say there are only two certainties in life: death and taxes. In poker you can add a third, Stephen Chidwick winning at the very highest level.
The Englishman entered rarefied air on Friday at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Jeju, becoming just the second player in the history of the game to surpass $70 million in live tournament earnings.
Chidwick captured the late-scheduled $200,000 Short Deck for $3,455,000, the biggest first-place score of his career, to join all-time money leader Bryn Kenney in poker’s most exclusive $70 million club.
With total earnings now standing at an eye-watering $71.7 million, the two-time bracelet winner, whose trio of Triton victories have all come in the Short Deck format, has cemented his position as the undisputed challenger to Kenney’s $78.4 million benchmark, though he still has some ground to make up to overtake the American.
However, with both players here on Jeju Island and a packed schedule of high-stakes action ahead, the question of whether Chidwick can continue to chip away at Kenney's lead is certainly a storyline to watch here at the Landing Casino.

Kenney, Chidwick, Koon Lead the Way
Poker’s all-time money list now mirrors the top three earners in Triton history, as Chidwick’s victory last night propelled him past Mikita Badziakouski into third place on the game’s premier high-stakes tour rankings.
Despite sitting second overall on the all-time money list, Chidwick holds the bronze position on the Triton honor roll, while all-time money list third Jason Koon, a twelve-time Triton winner, currently occupies the silver medal spot.
Koon, enjoying a phenomenal 2025 with victories at May’s Triton Super High Roller Series Montenegro and a second WSOP bracelet, has also been grinding in South Korea and over the summer leapfrogged Justin Bonomo to move into the top three on the all-time money list.
However, both players face an uphill battle to catch Kenney on the Triton leaderboard, trailing the table topper by nearly $15 million.
The relentless pace set by Kenney at the top of the all-time standings continued this summer as the New Yorker added over $2.4 million from the WSOP, coming close to victory in both the $50,000 Poker Players Championship and $250,000 Super High Roller with second and fourth-place finishes, respectively.
Meanwhile, he has already cashed in Jeju this week, finishing 10th in the $25,000 WPT Global Slam for $130,000, his 20th cash in Triton Poker events and a reminder of the scale of the challenge facing both Chidwick and Koon.

The British number one delivered a sizzling performance on the final day to claim the $200K Short Deck title, entering the final table with a sizable chip lead and maintaining control all the way to victory.
The event, which was a late addition to the Jeju II Super High Roller schedule following player demand, duly delivered a massive prize pool of $12,200,000 from 61 entries.
Curiously, Chidwick’s victory marked his third short deck title at Triton events, extending his remarkable record in the fast-paced, high-stakes format.
The podium saw Malaysia’s Kiat Lee finish second for $2,465,000, while the Netherlands’ Rene Van Krevelen took third with $1,591,000, both recording career-high scores for their efforts.
However, it was the top prize that went to Chidwick, who took $3,455,000, the largest first-place score of his career, only surpassed by his fourth-place finish in the 2019 Triton Million for Charity, where he earned $5,368,947.
