Triton ONE: New Live Tour Set to Expand Triton Poker’s Reach
Table Of Contents
Already the name behind the world's premier high-stakes poker series, Triton Poker is now embarking on a new adventure and is setting its sights on a broader audience.
A brand-new tour, simply called Triton ONE, is set to be unveiled in the coming weeks which organizers say will be aimed at "all aspiring poker superstars."
"We're proud to be unveiling Triton ONE," said Andy Wong, CEO of the Triton Poker Series. "The Triton Poker Super High Roller Series has redefined what's possible for a poker tour, and now Triton ONE builds on that foundation to present something both familiar and yet refreshingly new."
What Could Triton ONE Involve?
At this stage, details of the new live tour are under wraps, besides the target audience. While Triton events regularly award seven-figure prizes to some of poker's biggest superstars, Triton ONE looks like it will be aimed at bridging the gap between everyday grinders and the high roller elite.
While nothing is confirmed, speculation among players and fans points toward a mid-stakes series or a direct pathway to Triton’s flagship events.
The popularity of mid-stakes tours such as RunGood and the WSOP Circuit in the United States is certainly something that won't have escaped tournament organisers. However, the global reach and appeal of Triton should see this tour have events all over the world.
What do Players Say?
As Triton Poker Series ambassador and regular fixture at the game’s highest stakes, Danny Tang brings a unique perspective to the launch of Triton ONE. Tang knows first-hand what it means to rise through the ranks — just eight years ago, he was playing in $365 nightly tournaments during the WSOP. However, he has gone on to amass over $32 million in lifetime earnings. He says this new tour was long in the making.
"I think it’s about time a wider audience gets a taste of the Triton experience," he said. "It’s been a long time coming. I can’t wait to meet a lot of new faces. Hopefully someone wins and parlays that into the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series — and crushes it there too."
The launch of Triton ONE comes as the Triton Super High Roller Series prepares to return to Jeju, South Korea, this September. Fans are encouraged to sign up at tritonpokerseries.com/tritonone to be first in line for information about the new tour.
