One of the biggest poker events of the year in the Buckeye State kicks off Sept. 18.

We are talking about the $600 buy-in Midwest Poker Championship in Toledo, Ohio, a no-limit hold'em tournament featuring a $1 million guaranteed prize pool. The action takes place at The Reserve Poker Club at 5115 Glendale Avenue. PokerNews will be in the house live reporting the championship event from Day 2 through the final table.

Championship Event Details

If you can't make it to Toledo or the card room by the 18th but still want a shot at that seven-figure prize pool, there are 11 Day 1 starting flights scheduled, one regular flight per day at noon through Sept. 27, and a turbo flight at 6 p.m. on the 27th.

Play will conclude on each Day 1 session when only 10% of the field remains. Players who bust are eligible to register again for a separate opening flight. Those still standing will return to action for Day 2 on Sept. 28 at noon. The final table takes place on Sept. 29.

The tournament structure is conducive to all types of tournament players --- recreational and pros. Each player will receive 50,000 chips upon registering. Day 1 blind levels are set for 30 minutes, but will go up to 40 minutes on the last two days. Final table action will be livestreamed on the Live at The Reserve YouTube channel.

The Reserve Poker Club

The Reserve Poker Club in Toledo is home to the only livestream poker studio in the Midwest. All games are rake-free, and customers instead pay membership fees. There are 36 poker tables and 25 televisions inside the spacious club.
