River Card in Three-Way All-In Decides GUKPT Blackpool Main Event
Table Of Contents
The penultimate leg of the 2025 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour season wrapped up with a first in Grosvenor Poker history, as the £1,250 Main Event in Blackpool was decided by a three-way all-in for the title.
Kostas Patsourakis came out on top after finding a king on the river to seal the victory, earning £67,990 from the £289,550 prize pool. The 279-entry field delivered Patsourakis his second GUKPT Main Event title, following his win in Leeds in 2023 that paid £78,419.
The victory pushes Patsourakis’ 2025 live earnings past $100,000 and his career total beyond $210,000, impressive numbers for a poker journey that only properly began in 2023.
Big Slick Hands Patsourakis the Victory
Patsourakis started the final day of the Main Event as the overwhelming leader and entered the final table in command after PSO Manchester Main Event winner Tuan Le and Jack Allen exited in 11th and tenth place.
Osman Mustanoglu bowed out in ninth after his overcards and flush draw fell to the pocket jacks held by Liam McMurray. Ewen Trevidy mistimed four-bet jam ran into Patsourakis' queens to bring the tournament to its final seven players. Iwan Jones small blind shove with ace-three ran into Steve Roberts' pocket nines, and there was no help for the Welshman.
National Poker League frontrunner Thomas Clack flipped out Noel McIvor in sixth before McMurray ousted Michael Rolt with aces.
McMurray made a loose call preflop with ten-nine for twenty bigs, and he made a flush to down Robert's ace-queen to set up the final three players, where Patsourakis remained atop of the chip counts.
Then came the hand of the tournament. Patsourakis opened on the button with A♦K♦ before Clack ripped in 27 big blinds with 10♣9♣. McMurray looked down at J♥J♣ and reshoved for 39 big blinds. Patsourakis called and the trio tabled their cards.
The jacks remained best after the 8♣8♥5♦ flop and 4♣ turn. Patsourakis couldn't believe his luck when the K♥ peeled off on the river, sealing him the checkmark for the winner's spoils.

What's Next for the GUKPT Grinders?
The curtain is almost ready to fall on the 2025 GUKPT offering, with only one stop left on the calendar: the GUKPT Grand Final at Grosvenor The Victoria Casino in London.
After a year that’s seen packed fields across the UK, the season-ending festival gets underway on November 20, marking the GUKPT’s return to its spiritual home following The Vic’s £15 million refurbishment.
The action begins with the £750 Midi Main, featuring four starting flights and a £150,000 guarantee, followed by a string of side events including the £250 PLO 4/5/6 Card, £1,100 PLO High Roller, £340 Mini Main, and the £2,500 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller.
Of course, all eyes will be on the £2,000 GUKPT Grand Final Main Event, boasting a massive £500,000 guaranteed prize pool. Ireland’s Niall Campbell is the reigning champion after topping a 367-entry field in Luton last year for a career-best £89,000, defeating Kully Sidhu heads-up.
Since Mike Ellis captured the inaugural title in 2007, the GUKPT Grand Final has been won by some of the UK’s most decorated players, including Sam Grafton and Charlie Carrel. Benjamin Winsor remains the only two-time Grand Final champion, claiming titles in 2015 and 2019.
