First-Ever Yorkshire Poker Open Main Event Comes With £150k GTD

grosvenor poker leeds

Undoubtedly the centrepiece of the festival, the First-Ever Yorkshire Poker Open Main Event comes with a £150,000 guarantee and kicks off on Thursday, April 30, giving players a shot at writing their name into the history books as the inaugural champion.

The £560 Yorkshire Poker Open Main Event features four starting flights:

  • Flight 1A – Thursday, April 30
  • Flight 1B – Friday, May 1
  • Flight 1C – Saturday, May 2
  • Flight 1D (Turbo) – Saturday, May 2

Those who find a bag will return for Day 2 on Sunday, May 3, where the field will play down to a winner. By the end of the day, one player will stand alone as the first-ever Yorkshire Poker Open Main Event champion.

Satellite Your Way Into the Main Event

Satellites run throughout the schedule, giving players plenty of chances to take a shot at the Yorkshire Poker Open Main Event without paying the full £560 buy-in.

The standout path comes in the form of three “5 Seats GTD” Main Event satellites, running Wednesday through Friday at 8pm. Each comes in at just £125 entry, offering a cut-price route into the festival’s flagship event and likely to draw big fields with serious value on the table.

Other Schedule Highlights

Beyond the Main Event, the Yorkshire Poker Open schedule has a bit of everything.

The £200 G200 gets things rolling and should pull in a big field across its multiple starting flights, especially with £50,000 guaranteed. It’s the obvious landing spot for lower buy-in players, but it’ll also matter for those keeping an eye on Low Roller league points.

For those playing at the other end of the spectrum, the £1,000 High Roller brings a different kind of test. Deep stacks, longer levels, and a £50,000 guarantee promise some high-class action, and crucial points for those chasing the High Roller leaderboard spots.

There's also plenty more to get excited about, including a £10,000 guaranteed PLO 4 Card Bounty for the four-card fans, a Seniors event, and the festival wraps up nicely with the £150 Live Closer.

Live Coverage of the Yorkshire Poker Open

If you can’t make it to Super Leeds in person, there are still plenty of ways to follow the action online.

Live coverage runs across Grosvenor Poker’s official social channels on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch from Wednesday 29 April through to Sunday 3 May, capturing all the key hands and bustouts as the Yorkshire Poker Open Main Event plays down to a champion.
