It took no time for the PokerStars on FanDuel launch to pay off for poker players in the United States.
Just days after PokerStars North America and sports betting giant FanDuel teamed up for a new poker site in three U.S. states, the site has announced a major online poker series that runs from April 18 to May 4 in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. There will be $5 million in prize money guaranteed across 90 events in what is being called the Ignite Series.
What's on the Schedule?
The Ignite Series features multiple online poker tournaments each day for more than two weeks. It all starts with a No-Limit Hold'em Blast Off event with three separate buy-in levels ($25, $100, and $250), the largest guaranteeing at least $125,000 in the pot. There will be two additional tournaments on Opening Day ($20 and $50 Turbo Mystery) with $255,000 guaranteed over the five first-day events.
Some other can't-miss events include the $500 No-Limit Hold'em Firestorm on April 19 ($100,000 guaranteed), $200 No-Limit Hold'em Sunday Dynasty on April 26 ($250,000 guaranteed), $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Sunday Storm on April 26 ($200,000 guaranteed), and the $250 No-Limit Hold'em Seven Deuce Game on April 29 ($100,000 guaranteed).
But the main attraction of this mega series is the Main Event, which features three iterations. The separate tournaments start on May 3, beginning with the $300 Main Event ($500,000 guaranteed), followed by the $50 Main Event ($100,000 guaranteed), then the $1,500 Main Event ($250,000 guaranteed).
The Ingite Series will wrap on May 4 with five final tournaments, including the $250 No-Limit Hold'em Closer, which promises at least $100,000 in the pot.
Anyone 21-and-over can enter the Ignite Series, regardless of state or country of residence, so long as the play takes place while located within the state boundries of Michigan, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania and has a real-money account on the PokerStars on FanDuel platform.
