The RunGood Poker Series is bringing its crew and big guarantees to Southern Indiana in just two weeks.
More specifically, the popular poker tour is heading to Caesars in Elizabeth, Indiana on Aug. 18 for 10 ring events over six days, the finale occurring on Aug. 23. There are $260,000 in guarantees up for grabs during the series. PokerNews will be in the house providing our exclusive live reporting duties of the Main Event.
Series Highlights
The Indiana series kicks off a bit differently than normal with the $300 Seniors Ring Event for those who are aged 50 and above. There's also a $200 Tag Team NLH event that evening, giving players a couple of opportunities to win a ring on the first day.
Aug. 19 is the start of the $400 PokerNews Powerstack, a popular ring event at each RGPS stop. This one has a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool, with Flights A and B to run on the same day. Those who bag chips will come back to Caesars on Aug. 20 to play it down to a winner.
As per usual with the RGPS, tournament players will find a strong mix of buy-ins and poker variants. While No-Limit Hold'em is the main game played, it isn't the only one. Non-hold'em players have a couple events to choose from, including the $400 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament on Aug. 20.
The major tournament on the schedule is the $800 Main Event, an NLH tournament with $200,000 up for grabs and live reporting coverage from start to finish right here at PokerNews. Play begins with Day 1a on Aug. 20, followed by Day 1b on Aug. 21, and Days 1c and 1d on Aug. 22. The players still standing will return to action on Aug. 23 to crown a champion.
The final day also one last ring opportunity with the $300 Black Chip Bounty NLH event.
