Della Tommasina Survives

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Edgar Casanova sent a player to the rail with {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} versus {2-Hearts}{2-Spades} on a board of {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades} and then it was up to Juan Font Espina to bust another opponent for 38,000 with {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} versus {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}. The flop of {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} all but sealed it, and the {7-Diamonds} turn and {8-Hearts} river made things official.

Marco Della Tommasina was the next player to make a move, and he open-shoved 40,500 out of the small blind. Casanova called in the big blind with {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. The Italian only had {9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, but got there thanks to a board of {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

Bruheim Exits After Dinner

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Among the players to bust soon after coming back from dinner was also Stian Bruheim. Under the gun, he raised to 15,500 and kept 1,500 back. Both Rafael Achermann in the small blind and Olga Mirasol in the big blind called. The flop came {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Achermann checked, Mirasol moved all in and Bruheim called all in before the Swiss folded.

Olga Mirasol: {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Stian Bruheim: {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

"There is hope," the Norwegian joked, but the {A-Hearts} turn and {Q-Hearts} river were both blanks.

A Blast from the Past

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Just before the players went on dinner, Yannick Pernot scored a crucial pot to boost his stack to more than the average. After a raise to 7,000, Pernot just called and a short stack then shoved for around 25,000 with the {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. The initial raiser over-shoved with {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Pernot snap-called for 51,100 with {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

There was no surprise on the board and the Frenchman scooped the entire pot.

Level 12 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante
Lauri Saaskilahti

A massive pot had taken place over on table 16 and as a result, Gabriel Pazos de la Torre became the new chip leader. He three-bet and then five-bet shoved for around 140,000 with ace-deuce. Lauri Saaskilathi had four-bet to 45,000 and called with queen-nine, and the ace held up to let Pazos de la Torre double big time.

Antonio Oscar Vallespi Fernandez is another big stack and happens to sit right next to Pazos de la Torre.

Juan Bastida Perez
Juan Bastida Perez

Juan Bastida Perez got his remaining stack in with the {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} and found a quick caller in Andre Filipe Quelhas. The Portuguese had {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} in the cutoff and the board came {K-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}.

Soon after, 888poker-es online qualifier Miguel Angel Rodriguez de la Rubia was at risk for 31,500 with {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Stian Bruheim called with the {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. The board ran out {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and the Spaniard got there on the river to secure a double.
