Teufel Roller-Coasting; Garcia Martin Gets More

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Alexander Teufel showed ace-queen several times on his table and joked with Francisco Jose Garcia Martin that it was "his hand." Garcia Martin himself scooped a nice pot against Fares Shehadeh after three-betting preflop out of the blinds.

Shehadeh came along and the flop came {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs}. Garcia Martin's bet was called before the Spaniard bet the {7-Spades} turn for 11,600. That proved to be too much for Shehadeh and he folded.

Pinchuk Loses Chunks; Busts

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Yana Pinchuk
Yana Pinchuk

[Removed:312] opened to 3,200 from the cutoff and Yana Pinchuk called on the button, as did big stack Jose Manuel Henriques in the big blind. The flop fell {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and the action checked to [Removed:313], who bet 4,200. Only Pinchuk called and the {4-Hearts} appeared on the turn.

[Removed:313] didn't slow down, but fired another 8,200, which Pinchuk called. After the {7-Spades} river, [Removed:313] checked and Pinchuk made it 15,000 to go. It took some consideration and [Removed:313] called, Pinchuk showed {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a busted straight and flush draw and [Removed:313] won the pot with {10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Only a few minutes later, the seat of Pinchuk was empty and she has been eliminated.

Schoettke Shot to Pieces

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

After he bet 2,000 from first position pre-flop, Martin Schoettke got a call from Ionel Catalin Pruna in the cut-off.

The flop came {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Schoettke bet 1,600, but Pruna called, and when the turn card {9-Hearts} fell and Schoettke checked, Pruna pounced, betting 2,600 and getting a fold. Schoettke hovers around the 11 big blinds mark.

Cusco Bach Busts Lleixa Aledo

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Gerard Lleixa Aledo raised to 2,000 from under the gun and Guillem Cusco Bach called out of the big blind. The flop fell {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Cusco Bach checked, then check-raised after Lleixa Aledo's bet of 5,000. The latter called all in with a short stack and the cards were turned over.

Guillem Cusco Bach: {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Gerard Lleixa Aledo: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

The {9-Clubs} turn was some hope for Lleixa Aledo, but the {3-Diamonds} river changed nothing whatsoever.

A Double and a Seat Open

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Lorenzo Jose Lopez Garcia four-bet shoved his short stack of around 10,000 with the {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and his sole remaining opponent called with {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. The {J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop gave the Spaniard top set, and he locked up the double officially with the {3-Hearts} turn and {2-Spades} river.

Martin Schoettke was all in for even less, 6,000 to be exact, and was called by Arturo Jose Asensio Pobo. Schoettke showed {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and was demanding an 9-8-7 flop after he spotted the {A-Hearts}{J-Spades} of Asensio Pobo. However, the board of {A-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Hearts} provided no help for the German and he was eliminated.

Heroes Everywhere

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

On a completed board of {4-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, and a pot of 17,000 in the middle, a bet of 8,300 was slid forward by Gabriel Lopez. The player who had the decision was Alberto Flores Trujillo and after some thought, he managed to make the call.

Gabriel Lopez, crestfallen, dropped his head and showed {9-Spades}{8-Spades}, having missed his straight draw on turn and river. But Trujillo had called with only {A-Spades}{J-Spades} and that ace-high was good enough to rake in what could be a very important pot in the context of his tournament.

Desset Drops Some; Pop Gone 2nd Time

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Word on the street is that Catalin Pop ran with ace-king into a pair of kings and failed to get there to bust a second time for today. His former table already broke, and the Romanian may re-enter today or tomorrow still.

Robert Escribano Dominguez avoided a possible re-entry after spiking a double through Andrej Desset just now. On the {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop, the Spaniard check-raised from 2,500 to 7,500 and called the shove of Desset for his last 28,200.

Robert Escribano Dominguez: {K-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Andrej Desset: {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The {7-Diamonds} turn and {3-Spades} river were both blanks and Desset dropped below starting stack.
