Speed Bump for Pop

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante
Catalin Pop
Catalin Pop

Catalin Pop will have to re-enter in order to defend his 888Live Main Event title from Rozvadov, as he has just been eliminated by Tomas Fara. The Czech was among four players to see a flop of {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} with Pop in the big blind and Fara on the button.

The action checked to Fara, who bet 1,600 and Pop check-raised to 3,500. Only Fara called and the {J-Hearts} appeared on the turn. Pop checked and Fara bet 3,300, before he called off the shove of Pop for just 2,000 more.

Tomas Fara: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Catalin Pop: {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

The {8-Clubs} river gave Fara a full house and Pop headed out of the tournament area, for now at least.

Langrock Busts Egorov

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante
Oleg Egorov
Oleg Egorov

On the button, Sebastian Langrock raised to 400 and Oleg Egorov defended his big blind to see the flop come {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. Egorov checked, Langrock bet 300 and faced a check-raise to 1,000. Langrock clicked to 2,800 and called the shove of Egorov for some 13,000 and change.

Oleg Egorov: {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Sebastian Langrock: {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The {8-Hearts} on the turn instantly gave Langrock a flush, and the river was no ace or ten to eliminate Egorov. The Russian immediately re-entered and was seated two tables over with a fresh stack.

Szaszko Making Changes

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

On a board displaying {3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, Marco Hakli bet 4,500. Bence Szaszko made the call for almost half of his remaining chips in what was already a big pot.

The river of {5-Clubs} saw Hakli immediately move all-in. Szaszko had to fold, and did so quickly to prevent the pain lasting any longer.

"I would never play a hand like that the rest of my life." Szaszko moaned.

"Against me?" asked Hakli.

"In general."

"You're only beating the flush on the river, right?" said Hakli and Szaszko nodded ruefully. While he is down to fumes, Hakli needed that pot to surface around starting stack.

Torelli Finds a Double

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

After a raise by David Llargues Armesto and a call by Do Chung Tran, Alec Torelli three-bet to 2,100 and both opponents called. The flop fell {J-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and the action checked to Torelli on the button, who continued for 2,500. Both opponents called once again before the {6-Hearts} turn was checked.

On the {3-Spades} river, Llargues Armesto bet 6,000 and Chung Tran reluctantly folded, while Torelli moved all in for his last 11,650. Llargues Armesto reluctantly called and Torelli flashed {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}, while the Spaniard mucked {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}.

Cate Hall Eliminated

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante
Cate Hall
Cate Hall

Cate Hall raised from under the gun and picked up one caller before Sergio Alonso Camunas three-bet to 2,200. Both Hall and the cold-caller came along and the three-way flop showed {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. It was checked to Alonso Camunas, who bet 3,500 and just Hall called.

Both players checked the {6-Spades} on the turn and Hall then announced a bet of 4,800 in Spanish after the {Q-Spades} river. Hall only had 12,500 in total and immediately sighed when Alonso Camunas moved all in.

"Do you have ace-ten or ace-jack?" Alonso Camunas asked and Hall replied "no, I have a flush. Do you have a flush?" After some consideration, Hall called it off and Alonso Camunas announced a full house before rolling over {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} right away. Hall tabled {10-Spades}{8-Spades} for a flush and left the table with a "see you tomorrow, you can keep this," handing her drink voucher over to Mladen Ivanov.
