Aces for Alonso

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

On the flop of {7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, Catalin Pop bet and called the check-raise to 700 by Sergio Alonso Camunas out of the big blind. The {Q-Diamonds} turn was checked and Alonso Camunas then bet the {7-Diamonds} river for 1,600. Pop called and mucked as soon as he was shown {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} by the Spaniard.

Table 14 Boasts Incredible Line-Up

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Table 14 recently opened and players that registered late were getting seated. Soon a line-up like no other in the room emerged with Haykel Cherif Vidal, Tomas Fara, Catalin Pop, Cate Hall and Sergio Alonso Camunas. Pop won the 888Live Rozvadov Main Event and made it back-to-back trophies in yesterday's €2,200 High Roller.

Pop won an early pot against Cherif Vidal and Fara then took on Hall, who raised from under the gun and picked up three callers. On the {Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop, action checked to Fara and he bet 850. Only Hall called and the duo then checked the {10-Diamonds} turn and the {J-Spades} river. Hall showed {9-Spades}{7-Spades} and Fara had that beat with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}.

Khuu Gets Paid Off

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Over on table seven with Bence Szazsko, a big pot played out between Alejandro Rivera de Torres and Chu Khuu. Rivera de Torres bet the {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} river for what appeared to be 1,600 and Khuu raised it up to 7,850.

Rivera de Torres eventually called and was shown {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades} for a full house by Khuu. The Spaniard mucked his {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a flush and dropped just below the starting stack.

First Casualty of the Day

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Cedric Balsalobre appears to be the first casualty of the day as he lost parts of his stack to Isidre Just Vivancos and Younesse Oualgasi over on table one. That happened in level one still, which vaults Just Vivancos and Oualgasi into an early lead.

Just Reward for Soler's Fold

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

We joined the action as Isidre Just Vivancos was betting 3,000 into a pot of around 7,500 of a completed board showing {4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts} . The player with the decision was Daniel Soler, who folded showing {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}, but saw that he was right to do so, with Just flashing the {10-Hearts} for the straight irrespective of what his other card was.

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante
Philippe Noble in the Opening Event
Philippe Noble in the Opening Event

According to Sebastian Langrock, who witnessed the action, big pot played over on his table. Philippe Noble four-bet to 1,000 and picked up a single caller in Rozanna Ketting-Olivier. On the {10-Clubs}{4-}{2-Clubs} flop, Ketting-Olivier check-raised to 2,500 and was quickly called by Noble before betting the {2-Spades} turn for 4,000. Noble called and the {9-Spades} river completed the board.

Ketting-Olivier bet another 4,000 and Noble was about to move his stack forward when the Dutchman seemingly beat him into the pot, yet no chips had crossed the line yet. Noble saw that reaction and pulled back the chips, and eventually folded.
