Jack Dean bet 1,000 from the hijack on a flop of 9♠K♥8♦ and the button called. Pedro Gonzalez then raised to 7,000 under the gun and only Dean called.
Gonzalez instantly tossed in his last 25,000 chip on the 10♠ turn and Dean, who only had him slightly covered, tanked for a minute before folding.
Dean tangled with Ian Simpson the next hand, where Simpson bet 3,000 from the button on a board of 4♣5♠7♦4♥. Dean called in middle position and the both checked the 3♦ river.
Dean showed J♥7♥ for top pair, but Simpson had 8♦8♣ to win the pot.

Ricardo Mateus and an opponent built a pot of around 9,000 as they went heads-up to a flop of 5♣3♠3♣. The button then bet 3,000 and Mateus called in the cutoff.
The turn was the Q♣ and Mateus led out for 8,500. The button called and the 8♠ fell on the river. Mateus then bet another 13,000.
The button quickly moved all in, sending Mateus deep into the tank. He took several minutes before calling for his last 34,000. His opponent showed A♣K♥ for just ace-high, while Mateus had K♣J♣ for a flush to win the pot and double up.
