Harrell Off to a Quick Start

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Trey Harrell has got off to a quick start on Day 1C, winning nearly every pot at his table thus far. He has continued to pick up hand after hand but unfortunately hasn't received much action.

In one hand, the board read {j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Harrell bet 2,200 into two opponents. The button called as did the big blind and the {3-Spades} completed the board. The big blind checked again and Harrell tossed in another bet of 2,100. The button called and the big blind folded this time.

Harrell tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} for top pair which was good enough to beat his opponent's {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

Day 1C Expected to be Busy at the Ante Up Poker Tour $250 Main Event

After some solid numbers on the opening two flights of the Ante Up Poker Tour $250 Main Event, tournament organizers are expecting the middle flight, Day 1C to be one of the largest. With over 1,000 people watching the horse races going on outside, just a few steps inside of Tampa Bay Downs there will be plenty of action taking place as well.

Day 1B kicked off earlier today and will be winding up not long after Day 1C begins. That gives any players who fail to bag up their chips a chance to quickly jump right back on the felt. Not only will the eventual winner reap in the rewards of a $60,000 guaranteed prize pool, but they will also be featured on the cover of Ante Up Magazine in March and earn a spot in the Ante Up World Championship Main Event in July.

Tonight, players will begin with 25,000 starting chips with the blinds at 100/100. A big blind ante will be introduced in the second level and will continue throughout. The levels will be 30-minutes in length for all Day 1s and increase to 40 minutes on the final day. There will be a 10-minute break after every four levels with play ending after a total of 14 levels.

Late registration will remain open until the start of level nine. Players will be given the option of unlimited re-entries until that point or may re-enter for subsequent Day 1s. Should a player bag chips on multiple starting flights, only their best stack will be brought forward to the final day.
