When we came to Raemin Alexander's table there was an open to 1,500 from a player in middle position. Alexander was on the button and he made the call, along with the player in the small blind.
Flop:
The two players checked to Alexander who bet 2,900. The two players didn't want to get involved as four cards went into the muck.
At this point Alexander casually flicked his onto the felt and raked in his chips.

Minh Nguyen held in the small blind when a late position player would shove all in for around 8,000. Nguyen looked towards the player's stack in the big blind and then opted to shove his large stack in the middle. The big blind player looked down at his cards and flicked them into the muck as the two players would turn their hands over.
Nguyen's opponent tabled , well ahead of Nguyen's hand. The board ran out and it was a nice double-up for the player, while Nguyen takes a small hit to his stack.

When two players limped from early position, the rest of the table would get out of the way before Lee Nelson put in the extra chips in the small blind and Martin Drewe tapped the table from the big blind.
Flop:
On the flop, Drewe would confidently lead for 1,800. It didn't take long for cards to fly into the muck from all directions of the table as Drewe took down the small pot.

As you very well know, this ANZPT Sydney event is the first stop on the fourth season of the popular tour. But what happened in season three, you may ask?
A total of 1,746 players took part in Season III of the ANZPT, creating a total prize pool of AUD$3,692,040.
During that time, numerous stars arose including Octavian Voegele, who won $148,900 after defeating 253 players at the ANZPT Adelaide. Likewise, Grant Levy conquered a field of 220 players at ANZPT Perth to win a $131,500 prize.
Finally, how can we forget Lee Nelson’s win at the ANZPT Melbourne for $156,550, giving him an ANZPT title to go along with his 2006 Aussie Millions Poker Championship crown.
All in all, season three was a very memorable one and hopefully this season is shaping up to be just the same.
The players have just been told that at the completion of this level, they will be sent on a 40-minute dinner break.
