Double Time for Chew

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Stevan Chew just scored a double up through Yaxi Zhu after moving all in preflop.

A limp from Stephen McHugh and a raise to 9,500 from Zhu saw Chew jam from the button for his remaining 70,500 in chips. With McHugh out of the way, Zhu went into the tank momentarily, but opted to make the call before they tabled their cards.

Zhu: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Chew: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{A-Diamonds} with Chew fading danger to stay alive.

Kan Sends Volkoff Home

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Another player has been eliminated as we near even closer to the bubble.

Tamara Volkoff was the one to the rail.

She shoved all in preflop for 52,000 and recevied a call from Raiden Kan on her direct left.

It was Volkoff's {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} against Kan's {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

The {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} board was no good to Volkoff and so her tournament was all over.

Guzzardi Leading As Leggy Out

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Michael Guzzardi is the new chip leader after sending Anthony Legg home.

We didnt catch the action, but we do know there was a board featuring and {a-}, {k-} and {q-} with Legg getting his stack in on the river with {a-}{k-} for two pair. Guzzardi, meanwhile, held {j-}{10-} for the straight.

Guzzardi now has around 300,000.

Flipping Fun... For Lim, Not Chew

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Right before the first break of the day and Stevan Chew and David Lim have partaken in a big flip.

It started with Lim opening to 6,500 from the hijack. Andrew Molodstov flat-called the cut off and Chew three-bet to 22,000 from the small blind. Lim moved all in for 98,000, Molodstov instantly folded and Chew instantly called to put Lim at risk.

It was Chew's {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} against Lim's {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

The board ran out {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Lim scooped the double.

Lim, the reigning ANZ Player of the Year, is now of the leaders, while Chew is relativity short.

On The Mac No More

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Jesse McKenzie was happy to get his chips in preflop with {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}, but wasn't happy to see a {4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} board when Walter Treccasrichi had him at risk holding {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}. With that ace on the turn, McKenzie was on the rail, while Treccarichi is now one of the chip leaders.
