Fazzino Races For Life

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Sal Fazzino was under the gun when he moved all in for 163,000. The action folded around to Scott Davies in the big blind and he made the call.

Fazzino: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Davies: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Fazzino was racing for his tournament life.

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Fazzino was back up to 350,000.

Double Deuce Double for Blatt

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Justin Walch was in the hijack when he opened it up to 32,000. The action folded to Dean Blatt in the small blind and he went deep into the tank. Eventually he moved all in for 75,000. Walch called and the cards were tabled.

Walch: {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Blatt: {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Blatt moved his stack towards 200,000.

Walch is back down to around 100,000.

Quick Walch Double

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Justin Walch has just doubled up moments after play recommenced.

He called all in from the small blind after Patrick Mahoney jammed his giant stack from the button.

Walch held {q-Hearts}{j-Spades} against Mahoney's {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and the board ran out {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}.

Back with Counts

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The players are back from their break and the cards are back in the air.

Here are the approximate stacks of the nine players. As you can see, quite a few are very short.

Final Table Paused

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The final table has been paused for just a few minutes while Crown Perth run a very loud and distracting promotion which involves several dancers and 1950's music in a nearby area to the poker room.

More Vesko Action

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

We have just seen our first flop in quite some time.

It started with Brian Mcallister opening to 36,000 from under the gun. Vesko Zmukic called from the big blind and the dealer flipped over {2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades}. When Zmukic checked here, Mcallister moved all in and Zmukic folded, leaving himself with around 150,000.

No Flops

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

With such large pay jumps and so many players on similar stacks, it's probably not too surprising that there hasn't been huge fire works early at the final table. In fact, we haven't seen one flop in the last 15 minutes. There has been plenty of preflop shoving, but nothing has come of it.

Vesko Keeps Losing Chips

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Vesko Zmukic has continued to see himself sit as the short stack.

He recently opened to 42,000 from late position and then tank-folded after Matthew Rolfe moved all in for just under 400,000.

Zmukic is back down to 115,000.

Rolfe Doubles Through Fazzino

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Matthew Rolfe has just doubled up through Sal Fazzino

It started when Rolfe moved all in for 182,000 from the button holding {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Fazzino shipped his larger stack in from the button holding {a-Spades}{j-Spades} and the blinds folded

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, with Rolfe hitting a set of threes and ultimately doubling up.
Fazzino is now one of the shorter stacks.
