It’s been a one-two knockout blow with big pairs for James Broom here at the ANZPT Perth. After his kings were cracked, Broom was back in the action with a bet of 6,500 from under the gun on a flop of 
. He received one call, before the price was bumped to 30,000. Broom moved all in for his last 26,000 as everyone else got out of the way.
“I know I’m probably behind but can’t fold with this stack,” said Broom as he opened

His hunch was right as his opponent showed 
for a set of fours.
“Anyone fold a jack?” chirped Broom as the 
hit the turn.
“Ooooooh, spadies!” chucked Broom as he held the only spade, but that hope was quickly snuffed out when the 
completed the board to send Broom to an early exit.

Picking up the action on a flop of 
it was James Broom in the thick of the action with a bet of 4,200. Sam Russell-Anderson made the call in position as the big blind folded to see the 
appear on the turn.
Broom checked and Russell-Anderson made a bet of 11,000. Broom splashed out the call as the 
completed the board. Broom checked again and Russell-Anderson milked it for another 12,000. The price was too tempting for Broom who made a crying call, only to muck when Russell-Anderson tabled 
for trip tens.
Broom said he held pocket kings as he slips into dangerous territory with Russell-Anderson now flying high on 180,000 chips.

We arrived at the action on the turn of a 
board, with Woodhead leading out for 13,000 from the small blind position. Volkhoff called from the button and a

Ashley Warner tells us he is off to have a beer as he was just eliminated from the tournament.
Apparently Warner three-bet jammed for around 17,000 from the big blind after James Broom had min-opened from the cut off.
"What are you jamming with?" asked Broom.
"Lots of cards," responded Warner.

We recently arrived at the table with all the chip leaders and found a mid-stacked James Broom battling in a hand with big-stack Brian Mcallister. There was already a 
board on the felt and Broom led out for 8,400. Mcallister insta-called and a 
dropped on the river. This time Broom bet 16,200 and Mcallister again called.
"King," said Broom as he turned over 
for king-high.
Mcallister held onto his cards.
"What have you got?" he asked peering closer.
"Just king-high," Broom responded.
Mcallister then took another look at the board before showing his for a pair of tens.
"That's the top of my bluff range," broom joked as Mcallister scored more chips.
