Anibal Lee Eliminated in 26th Place (NZ$5,523)

Anibal Lee - 26th Place
Anibal Lee - 26th Place
Gerome Guitteau opened to 20,000 from the button before Anibal Lee, who had just doubled up the previous hand, decided to move all his chips into the middle once again from the small blind. Guitteau snap-called.

Guitteau: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Lee: {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Guitteau takes it down to eliminate Lee in 26th place for a collect of NZ$5,523.

Assadourians On Fire

Eric Assadourian
Eric Assadourian
It's been a good couple of minutes for the Assadourians.

Firstly Assadour was all in after calling 14,000 preflop, and then shoving his last 25,500 on a {3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop. Jens Walther made the call.

Assadourian: {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Walther: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

Assadourian stood and put his jacket on with one foot out the door, but the {10-Diamonds} on the turn saved him before the {8-Clubs} hit the river. Assadour doubles to 90,000.

A few moments later his son Eric was all in as well. It was Charlie Swan who opened to 18,500 before Assadourian shoved for his last 43,500 from the small blind. Rob Toleafoa made the call in the big blind as did Swan.

The two live players checked down a board of {2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and incredibly both flipped {A-?}{K-?} as Assadourian tripled up with his {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. He's back to 135,000 and back in business!

Swan Doubles Through Michael Shinzaki

Charlie Swan just doubled through Michael Shinzaki.

The two players took a {5-Clubs}{8-Spades}{j-Spades} flop and Swan checked to Shinzaki who fired out 22,000. Swan moved all in over the top for 113,000 and after some thought Shinzaki made the call.

Shinzaki: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Swan: {6-Spades}{7-Spades}

Swan's flush draw would hit the turn {A-Spades} and the {6-Clubs} would complete the board.

"About time!" said Swan. "Stay out my pots or I'll win the rest," he said to Shinzaki.

Eric Assadourian tried to console Shinzaki, "Nice call mate, you got unlucky."

Swan interrupted "Nice call? It was terrible call and he knows it. This is my game. This is my game," he went on running his mouth like a heavyweight boxer.

Swan is up to 215,000 while Shinzaki is down to 230,000.

Arnaud Bulle pushed all in preflop from late position with {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}, Shilton Smith re-pushed from the small blind with {A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. A short-stacked Joe Quinton went into the tank in the big blind before folding.

When the cards were tabled Quinton lamented, "Why did I fold Ace-Queen, what am I doing?"

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} to eliminate Bulle in 30th place.
