Han Takes the Chiplead

Preflop, Dong-Bin Han opened to 150,000 from the button and David Hilton three-bet him to 350,000. Han made the call.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Hilton fired out 350,000. Han came straight over the top all in and Hilton folded almost as quickly.

Han leads 3,900,000 to 2,400,000.

Back to Square One

David Hilton was unable to hold onto his almost three-to-one chip lead. The match is almost square again after a raising war broke out on the turn of a {j-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} board in a limped pot. Hilton put in the first bet of 75,000. Dong-bin Han raised to 175,000, drawing a re-raise from Hilton to 425,000. Han raised over the top of that to 925,000, drawing a snap-muck from Hilton. Han showed {J-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} for a flush.

Han's Kicker Gets Him the Pot: Episode Two

Sequels are always worse than the original... but who cares.

Dong-Bin Han opened from the button to a min-raise 100,000. David Hilton called and they took a {6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop.

Hilton check-called a 90,000 chip bet from Han on the flop. The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and this time Han fired 270,000 which Hilton check-called. Both players checked off the {k-Clubs} river and Hilton showed {Q-?}{9-?} which would not be enough to beat Han's {A-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

Han's Kicker Gets Him the Pot

After losing a chunk of his stack to David Hilton earlier, Dong-bin Han seems to have reined in his play a touch. After Hilton opened for 100,000, Han called. Both players checked a {K-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} flop. When a third diamond hit the turn, Han checked and called a bet of 75,000 from Hilton. The {A-Diamonds} on the river killed all further action, with Han showing down a small flush, {K-Spades} {8-Diamonds}, to take the pot.

Another Pot for Hilton

They can't all be big pots in no-limit hold'em. And in fact it's winning lots of small pots that gives ammunition for the bigger ones. David Hilton opened from the button for 80,000 and was called by Dong-bin Han. On a flop of {6-Spades} {2-Clubs} {K-Hearts}, Han checked and then folded to another bet of 80,000 from Hilton.

Hilton Ships A Monster

Preflop, David Hilton opened to 80,000 from the button with Dong-bin Han making the call.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Han checked. Hilton fired 80,000 and Han called. The turn was the {k-Spades} and Hilton once again fired out a bet over Han's check. This time Hilton bet 225,000 only to be check-raised by Han to 600,000. Hilton thought for a moment and made the call.

The river was the {A-Hearts} and this time Han would take the front-foot firing 350,000 and Hilton counted his chips, then bet 1,025,000. Han instantly called, but didn't like what he saw.

Hilton rolled over {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} for a full house, while Han had {k-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for trips.

Hilton now has the commanding chip lead at 4,600,000 to 1,700,000.

Early Pots to Han

Dong-bin Han hasn't shown any sign of slowing down now that we're heads-up. He's raised almost every pot preflop. He recently raised to 125,000 from the button, with David Hilton calling. Hilton checked the {5-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {2-Clubs} flop, then folded to a bet of 175,000.
