Dong-Bin Doused

Preflop, Dong-bin Han opened to 70,000, and was three-bet by Sim Somyung with position to 155,000. Han picked up 425,000 in orange 25,000 chips and cradled them above the table contemplating betting.

After a while he picked up the call amount with his free hand and tossed it in. He placed the stack to his side again awaiting the flop.

On the {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop Han quickly checked, and Somyung bet out 180,000. Han chopped down the 425,000 chip stack, that he'd separated from the rest of his mountain of chips, several times, before picking it up and menacingly threatening to bet it.

In the end he opted to fold, flashing the {k-Clubs} as he did.

Clark Doubles Again

Kevin Clark
Kevin Clark
Kevin Clark has been all in and called three times this afternoon, and he has doubled up every time. His third double-up came courtesy of Dong-bin Han. Han opened preflop for 54,000 from the small blind. Clark called from the big blind, then called all in for about 450,000 on a flop of {Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades} after Han shoved. Han opened a flush draw, {9-Hearts} {7-Hearts}, against Clark's top pair, {Q-Diamonds} {j-Clubs}. The flush draw never came, with the turn {k-Diamonds} and river {3-Clubs} changing nothing. Clark doubled up again. After starting the day as the short stack, he's up to about 1.0 million in chips.

Mark Pagsuyuin Eliminated in 6th Place ($23,000)

Mark Pagsuyuin - 6th place
Mark Pagsuyuin - 6th place
Preflop, Dong-bin Han opened to 65,000 and Mark Pagsuyuin was the only caller from the button.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{3-Spades} and both players checked. They also checked the {2-Diamonds} turn. The river was the {A-Hearts} and Han checked to Pagsuyuin who moved all in for 132,000. Han didn't think long before calling with {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

The resigned look on Pagsuyuin's face foretold his holding before he revealed the {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

Pagsuyuin exits as the last remaining Filipino player in the field, he'll take home $23,000 for his efforts.

Pagsuyuin's Flush Doesn't Come

Sim Somyung
Sim Somyung
Mark Pagsuyuin took a curious line in a three-way pot against Sim Somyung and David Hilton, but it didn't work out for him. Hilton opened preflop to 64,000 from under the gun before Pagsuyuin and Somyung called out of the blinds. On a flop of {3-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {2-Clubs}, Pagsuyuin acted first and made a suspiciously small bet of 50,000 into the 200,000-chip pot. Only Somyung called.

Pagsuyuin checked the {3-Spades} turn, then quickly called a bet of 100,000 from Somyung. Both players checked the {3-Spades} river, with Pagsuyuin turning over a busted draw, {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs}. Somyung took the pot with {8-Diamonds} {8-Hearts}.

Nick Pronk Eliminated in 7th Place ($17,500)

Nick Pronk - 7th Place
Nick Pronk - 7th Place
In a battle of the blinds, Dong-bin Han opened preflop to 69,000, then called after Nick Pronk re-raised to 204,000. That took the two men to a highly coordinated flop of {6-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {9-Spades}. Han checked to Pronk, who quickly fired out 270,000. Han tanked for two minutes before re-raising all in. Pronk smirked, then rested his chin on his knuckles as he pondered his decision. He was in the tank for more than a minute before he finally called.

Han: {A-Clubs} {J-Hearts}
Pronk: {5-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}

Han showed some creativity and not much else with his ace-high. Pronk showed creativity as well, with bottom pair and a gutshot straight draw. Improbably, he was in the lead. Han stood over the table to watch the turn fall {4-Clubs}, no help for him. Then he called out "JACK!" before the river hit. It wasn't a jack, but it was a helpful card -- the {A-Hearts}. Pronk looked sick to his stomach but shook Han's hand and left the tournament in 7th place.

Hilton Bets Somyung Off the River

David Hilton
David Hilton
Preflop, action folded to Sim Somyung on the button who popped it up to 55,000 with David Hilton calling from the small blind. The flop came {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Hilton check-called a 65,000 chip bet from Somyung.

Both players checked the {5-Spades} turn. The {8-Spades} hit the river and Hilton fired out 75,000. That would be enough to induce a fold from Somyung.
