Not Bent-on Out of Shape

Aaron Benton
Aaron Benton
Three limpers entered the pot before Aaron Benton raised to 1,175 from the small blind. Only one of the limpers called.

The flop came down {8-Spades} {8-Hearts} {7-Hearts} and Benton continued his aggression with a bet of 1,600. His opponent called, bringing the two players to the turn where the {2-Diamonds} fell.

Both players checked and then the {Q-Clubs} completed the board. Benton fired 3,000 and his opponent raised to 9,100. Benton didn't back down and made the call, showing {K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}. His opponent insta-mucked upon seeing Benton's hand.

Benton is up to 39,000.

No Sinking For Steicke

Over at table 17, we saw a five-way limped pot and a flop of {2-Spades} {8-Spades} {8-Hearts} prompting a series of checks from all the players.

The turn card was the {10-Spades} and Marcos Vassiliadis bet 200, Alan Williamson called, Simon Christensson raised it up to 1,200, David Steicke called, and Vassiliadis called as well.

The river card was the 4s, and Vassiliadis checked to Christensson who bet 2,000. Steicke didn't waste much time, tossing in a raise to 7,500, enough to prompt a fold from Vassiliadis. Christensson, however made the call flashing the {A-Spades} which, much to his dismay was no good. Steicke quickly revealed pocket deuces for a flopped full house.

After the hand Steicke had about 35,000.

The turn brought the {3-Clubs} and Coleman fired 1,600. Kinkade folded as did Lechich. The button then raised to 3,500 and Coleman folded, showing that he was folding the {10-Spades}.

After the hand, here's how the counts looked from the players involved.

Coleman - 40,000
Lechich - 27,000
Kinkade - 19,000

Brendon Rubie Grabs The Early Chip Lead

It was a limped pot at table 21 before Jim Pizanias min-raised to 400 from the small blind. Brendon Rubie called from the big blind and the under the gun limper, Joesph Moussa called as well.

The flop was {9-Clubs} {10-Spades} {8-Spades} and Moussa led out for 2,600. Pizanias folded, and Rubie put in a raise to 6,500. Moussa would not be deterred, quickly throwing in another raise to 26,000 prompting a rather immediate all-in declaration from Rubie, who slid in his chips to the center of the table. It was 13,000 for Moussa to call and he counted out his chips before finally making the call.

Rubie flipped over {Q-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} for the flopped nuts, and Moussa turned over {J-Clubs} {7-Hearts} for the second best hand. The {K-Spades} turn, and the {4-Diamonds} river were no help to Moussa and the pot was awarded to Rubie.

Brendon Rubie chipped up to 80,000 on the hand, and Moussa was left with about 10,000.

Zoomin' with Arzoomanian

Paren Arzoomanian has been steadily involved at his table. He's been playing almost every pot and making moves to win them all. Recently, he's forced Simon Watt to fold the winning hand a few times, showing a bluff each time. His chips stack is right around the starting stack, but has been swinging up and down regularly.
